CEED Application Form 2027 - IIT Bombay will start the CEED registration from October 01, 2026 onwards (tentative). CEED 2027 application fee will be around INR 4,000. The registration process includes steps like registration, filling personal, communication, education details and paying exam fee. Before completing form, one should refer to the prescribed eligibility criteria mentioned in CEED 2027 information brochure.

CEED Application 2027 can also be filled with late fee. A late fee of INR 500 will be charged along with regular fee. The application for CEED 2027 will close in the second week of November 2026.
CEED Entrance exam will be conducted on January 17, 2027.

Steps to Fill CEED Application Form 2027
Check out the process to fill CEED Application form.
1. Online Registration: One has to register for CEED by entering email ID, name, date of birth, gender, address and mobile number. Also, candidates are required to create a password for newly created applicant account.
2. Check eligibility for CEED 2027: Once registration is complete, he/she will be redirected to an Eligibility Check for CEED 2027 window.
In the login window, enter the following details:
- Qualifying exam
- Passing year
- Mobile number
On successful verification, candidate can move to the next step.

To appear in the CEED 2027 exam, the candidate must have passed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate degree exam of a minimum three years. There is no upper age limit or limit on the number of attempts for appearing in CEED.
Once the application is submitted and downloaded, CEED Admit card will be issued and candidates will be asked to check and report any discrepancies in their admit card within the deadline. After this, CEED Entrance examination will take place.
CEED 2027 registration form must be submitted online only through the official website. The registration fee is given below.
- 2000 for all women candidates
- 2000 for (SC/ST/PwD) candidates
- 4000 for all other candidates
This registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Document Checklist for filling out the CEED 2027 Application Form
Candidate must keep the following documents handy when filling CEED 2027 application form.
- Recent color photograph
- A scanned copy of your signature
- Scanned copy of degree/ diploma certificate
- Valid category certificates issued by appropriate authorities (for EWS/ SC / ST / OBC-NCL category candidates).
- Valid medical certificate issued by appropriate authorities (for PwD category). PwD candidates requiring the services of a scribe during the exam must upload
a certificate, if applicable, as per Appendix 10. - Request letter to be uploaded by any PwD candidate who requires compensatory time during the exam
- Gazette notification, marriage certificate, or scanned pages of the passport to be uploaded by candidates whose name is not the same as mentioned on the degree/diploma certificate. Candidates whose name is not the same as the name on the degree/diploma certificate should produce a gazette notification or a bona fide marriage certificate or scanned pages of the passport reflecting the change of name

IIT Bombay will release the admission schedule for the CEED 2027 exam, including the application start and last dates, at the time of the release of the application form. The CEED application form will open from October 01, 2026 till November 05, 2026 with regular fees.
CEED 2027 applications will open from October 1, 2027. The application had to be filled online at CEED portal. The candidate can apply with both regular and late fees.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design. Admission to the M.Des programme will be based on CEED merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.
The qualifying cut-off is the minimum marks a candidate needs to score in the paper to get shortlisted. Part B answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate gets shortlisted.
So, if you don't meet Part A cut-off marks, you will not get shortlisted and you Part B answer booklets will not be evaluated. Also, note that only shortlisted candidates will be assigned a merit rank in CEED 2027.
CEED Entrance Examination 2027 will be conducted on January 17, 2027. The exam timing will be 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Application Fee: Important Points
- Registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Registration fee has to be paid through the payment option provided by CEED while submitting the registration form. Credit card, debit card and net-banking options are available. The registration fee shown above does NOT include service and other charges and the processing fees that the banks may levy.
- A late fee of INR 500 will be charged in addition to the Application fee if forms are filled after the regular application dates.

Candidates can get their login credentials through Forgot Password option on CEED portal using their registered email ID.
- Forgot Password option is available onCEED portal. While selecting this option, candidates will need to enter their registered email ID.
- A password reset link or instructions will be sent to email.
- By following steps mentioned in email, candidates can reset their password.
Candidates must report any issue faced by them while filling the CEED application form by clicking on the 'Report Problem' tab that is present on the right side of the application process windows. The tab is highlight in yellow colour. On clicking this tab, candidates had to elaborate on the problem that they are experiencing and also mention their registration number.
It was recommended that candidates fill out the form as soon as possible and don't wait for the last few days. It is because students could face server or other such issues which could delay or hinder the application process.
The difficulty level of CEED exam has been maintained by authorities over the years. However, most design aspirants share that if difficulty level of all design entrance exams conducted for PG level courses is compared then CEED is slightly easier than NID Entrance Exam. This is primarily because the drawing questions asked in NID that are considered to be tougher than those put forth in CEED exam. Note that CEED exam is for admission to the M.Des courses offered by the eight participating colleges. Meanwhile, the NID that for the M.Des programme has three participating colleges.

Sketching part of CEED will include representation, in the form of geometric figures like lines, squares, and triangles, outline drawing, detailing, and shading. Try outline drawing, representation, focus on detailing and shading. Also try shape of the figure, proportion and line quality.
To fill the CEED form, candidate should
- Get registered by entering details like name, email id, mobile number and date of birth.
- On successful registration, an applicant account will be created.
- Next, log in to candidate account and fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
- Select test centres; a maximum of three exam centres can be selected in order of priority.
- Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature, and certificates.
- Pay the application fee.
The CEED score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result. This means you can use CEED scores for admission in the current academic session only. You can't use for admission in the next year.
Likewise, you can't use CEED 2026 scores for admission in the upcoming session.

IIT Bombay has not recommended a dress code for taking CEED Exam. But candidates should dress modestly for the exam. They should avoid heavy jewellery, rugged jeans, chunky shoes, etc.

Yes, candidates must bring a printout of CEED admit card for exam. Soft copies of the admit card will not be accepted. Also, along with the admit card, the candidate should also bring a photo ID proof.

No, you cannot get the CEED Centre changed once the Admit card is issued. There is no scope to change it. In fact, CEED officials will not entertain any requests for a change in the exam centre.
