Overview of MMMUT Gorakhpur.

Placements: About 60-70% of students get placed, others go for higher studies, or some with very bad academic records don't get placed. The average package is not that high. But placement records are getting better with every upcoming batch. This year, we get over 1000 placements.

Infrastructure: Hostels are not that great, need maintenance and renovation. Infrastructure of the department is above average. Lecture halls for first year and second year are fully air-conditioned, and those that are not are also expected to be by the end of 2025.

Faculty: Teachers are okay but mostly you will have to rely on self-study. With little and consistent effort, one can do well in exams. Teachers are very well learned but they will help you only if you show interest otherwise, they are just going to take lectures and be on their way.

Good university and value for money.

Placements: Best technical university in Gorakhpur. Placements are high. The highest package is 52 LPA, and the lowest package is minimum 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: It is a good university. Our campus is beautiful. All the buildings are good and well-furnished. Toilets are clean and usable. For students, very good security is available. All the required facilities like lab, placement cell, and other facilities are easily available. It has good canteen near it, and they serve good food. Good facilities are provided by university. It has an affordable fee for all students. Our campus has very good environment in the morning and evening.

Faculty: Exam pattern is good and questions are neither hard nor easy. Course syllabus is completed by faculty, and all teachers are given time to help students cover and revise the syllabus on time. Teachers help students to love problems. All is good here.

Faculty members are highly qualified but placements are average. The infrastructure is good.

Placements: In the mechanical engineering department, the campus placement selection percentage of students is about 20%. The highest package offered in my course is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.75 LPA. The average package is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are L&T, Aditya Birla Group, and Torrent Gas.

Infrastructure: The full campus has Wi-Fi. Labs are not as maintained as required, but they have a few equipment. The library requires more air-conditioning as there is a little bit of air-conditioning so there will be heat stroke which affects the health as well as the study of students in summer.

Faculty: Faculty members are good but can improve themselves according to the current scenario. The syllabus can be modified as the requirement of industry nowadays. Teachers are highly qualified. There will be a lot of pressure on exams for students because of the NEP.

Placements: Placements for core branches like mechanical and civil are average, but for CS/IT branches, they are much better. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Wipro visit the campus. Students also crack off-campus opportunities and GATE exams. The placement cell is supportive, but students need to be proactive.

Infrastructure: The campus is clean and green with good facilities like Wi-Fi, central library, workshops, and separate hostels for boys and girls. New smart classrooms and labs are being developed. However, some buildings need renovation and better maintenance.

Faculty: Most professors are knowledgeable and cooperative. Many hold PhDs and have years of teaching experience. While some classes can be a bit theoretical, those who are curious can learn a lot from the faculty. So faculty members are supportive and helpful.

Other: My college life at MMMUT has been a mix of academic learning, personal growth, and career development. It's a state government university with a strong reputation in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The atmosphere here encourages discipline, and over time, you grow not just as a student but as a responsible individual.

MMUT Gorakhpur - honest review.

Placements: Placements are quite medium here. But students who develop themselves according to the changing time get decent on campus placements. Off campus placements are also good due to its alumni base. If you don't get on campus placements you can apply off campus and due to alumni base, you can get good opportunities.

Infrastructure: Hostels are very old and quite paced. Here, for first years, there are two floors on the hostel. The ground floor has rooms for one person only but now they reside two students in those rooms and upper floor has four students sharing a room for 3 persons. The buildings are not strong and mess food is also of low quality.

Faculty: The course now follows new education policy which includes relevant subjects and knowledge according to time. But it is still not as enough as the modern times and the student must learn on his own to stand at top in the crowd. The first year students are taught by guest faculty members who are lenient but from second year students are taught by subject specialists professors who are strict and not very interactive.
