Not much dissatisfied but overall experience is okay. A good decent college.
Placements: Placement in 2021 is 100 percent. The companies that come for placement were Cummins Wheel India. Ltd Flipkart etc. The lowest package for placement is 1.6LPA. The highest role for the placement was Jr. Engineer. Some student got their dream job as they required.
Infrastructure: Our hostels are okay, but the mess food is average, as no one can compare it with home food. Wi-Fi is 24hrs classrooms are Centralized AC library is the 3rd the biggest in UP. Medical facilities are available, as a dispensary is there, and sports facilities are also available. Hostel rooms are about 4 persons in 1 room, plus bathrooms are clean, 4 times meal in a day. All includes under 18000 rupees in 6 months and hostel is 30000 for a year.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, but since this is a hostel environment, you mostly have to study on your own. No one will take responsibility or worry about your studies for you have to study for yourself. If you approach the teachers, they are always ready to help. The course curriculum is relevant, and the semester exam level is moderate not too difficult and not too easy. The passing percentage is around 87 percent.
Other: I chose the course electronics as this was my dream course to study, the best things the faculty is very strict and they focus on your overall development, many fest are carried out by my seniors, the robotics club, the automobile club, music club, and many mush, fests are conducted by these societies, UP scholarship is available for those who have their annual income less than 2.5 Lacs. For about 75000 rupees, banks and many others neccesary thing shops are inside the campus 24hrs canteen is also there.

Absolutely satisfied and nowadays placement has also become good.
Placements: Here are some recent placement highlights of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur. In the 2024-25 placement season, the university recorded 1,047 job offers. For 2024-25, more than 100 companies participated. The highest package is around 48 LPA, and the average package is about 7 LPA. For B.Tech students (2024 data), 641 out of 792 eligible students got placed. The median package is 13 LPA. For M.Tech, 95 out of 108 got placed, and the median package is 15 LPA. For CSE/IT branches, the average packages are around 6 LPA-8 LPA for many students.
Infrastructure: Library features automated issue/return, OPAC (online catalog), Wi-Fi, AC reading room, etc. The institution houses a central IT Resource Centre (ITRC) that provides campus-wide Wi-Fi and network access (including hostels) via high-speed leased lines (1 Gbps + 155 Mbps) and a 10 Gbps backbone upgrade.
Faculty: The faculty seem to be generally competent, especially for core branches. But, like many large government engineering institutes, variability between departments/teachers exists, so your experience may depend on your branch and which professors you get. For theory-based subjects, there are continuous evaluation (Minor test) 30 marks, tutorial, assignment, attendance 20 marks, and major examination 50 marks.

A very good college with great academics and a growing alumni network.
Placements: Most students are placed, with the highest package at 52 LPA and the average at 6 LPA. The companies that recruited the most were TCS and Infosys. Most of the students got internships, whether online or offline, through LinkedIn or through companies that visited our college.
Infrastructure: The facilities present here are very good. There are big classrooms well-equipped with smart boards and AC. Furthermore, there are also two libraries on the campus. Moving on to the hostel, the hostel is good, providing nice and nutritious meals throughout the year. The year-round schedule is full of lots of events.
Faculty: The faculty and teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable with good teaching methods. The curriculum here is highly up-to-date and relevant for students. The semester exams are kind of okay, with most of the students passing them easily. On average, academics are at a very good level.

Big college with a decent ranking (84 in engineering) & decent average package for a Tier-2 college.
Placements: Placements are decent, following the usual norms like other Tier-2 colleges. Nearly 80% of students get placed. The highest package is 42 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is around 7.8 LPA. Top recruiters include BEL (a PSU), some mass recruitment companies, and L&T. Around 60% of students get internships. Top roles include embedded system engineer, junior software developer, HR, and many others.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. A big central library and a 24-hour Wi-Fi network are available. Despite providing Wi-Fi, the hostel infrastructure is poor, and the mess food is just for survival. It's kind of eww. One thing to remember is that the first three months feel like a jail-like experience, as they don't allow students to go outside due to anti-ragging.
Faculty: All of them are helpful, and most of the professors are qualified from IITs and NITs. Just don't say anything bad about the Physics department. The exams are very difficult to pass, especially in Maths and Physics. They don’t joke around. They are serious professors, so be aware of them.
Other: I chose this because of affordability, I have very limited options. I could be admitted to any IIIT, but when it comes to MMMUT, It feels low, and the average package.

Good college if you want to prepare for government jobs; infrastructure is good, and placement is de
Placements: The placement is okay. Mostly mass recruiters come here, and mainly service-based companies for IT roles. Consulting for core Bhart Electronics Limited came last year for Electronics and Communication Engineering. Hummingwave has given the highest on-campus package for the last 3 years, approximately 22.5 LPA. Around 100 companies visit every year, and about 80 percent of students are placed. I
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is mostly old, with functional instruments and labs but needs considerable improvement. Continuous new infrastructure is being made, which is great. The recent labs, like the IoT lab, are well done. The hostels are all old; they have been renovated over time but require significant improvement. A new hostel is being built with air conditioning facilities as well.
Faculty: The faculty is good but seems reluctant to teach, which is the best part. They send Ph.D. students to teach who often lack knowledge. Attendance is handed out easily by them, so there are very few teachers who want to teach; most send in Ph.D. students. Additionally, many of the assignments are also graded by Ph.D. students, and marks depend on how well you can convince them.
Other: The overall location is a point of concern. Events occur throughout the year, providing everyone with a good opportunity to participate and win. Some events require a participation fee, while others are free. There are also good prize amounts, like 3000 for 1st place, 2000 for 2nd, and 1000 for 3rd. The crowd is diverse, with people from all over Uttar Pradesh, as well as nearby states like Bihar, Rajasthan, and Jammu & Kashmir; there are also a few Northeast students. However, the cultural fest isn’t very impressive; no famous names will be present.

It is an average college, it feels more like government institution.
Placements: In terms of placements, we can't say it's nonexistent. The way they present their placement statistics isn't accurate. Many of the placements listed in the brochure are off-campus. Students get placed, but not in large numbers. In 2025, about 12 students were placed in BHEL PSU, of which around 9 were ECE students.
Infrastructure: Other than the hostels, everything else is good. Hostels are in very poor condition and need repairs. In September 2024, due to heavy rain, the balcony of the first-year hostel collapsed. However, classrooms are air-conditioned and in excellent condition. The library is quite good, and the mess offers food quality similar to other colleges.
Faculty: Most faculty members are theoretically educated. They lack practical knowledge and do not encourage students to gain hands-on experience. They focus on rote learning from textbooks. Some faculty members are very knowledgeable and teach so effectively that you don't even need to watch lectures. Unfortunately, these individuals are quite few.

Placements were great 2-3 years back. The college focused on revenue making.
Placements: 70-80% of students get placements in the college. The highest offered is 18 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Infosys, TCS, BHEL, etc. Everyone in the college gets internships either off-campus or on-campus. The top role generally offered is SDE.
Infrastructure: Hostels are very bad just like what a government college looks like. The mess food is very bad with no available resources. There are no proper facilities. Fans are not working in many rooms and nothing sort of issues are being resolved by the management. It is better to take any PG available near the college.
Faculty: Teachers are great, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. In our department, they are student-friendly. The course curriculum is outdated. College exams generally are easy in a few subjects as everything comes from the PYQ itself. But there are too many exams like 2 minor and a major that make the schedule truly hectic.
Other: Just got into this college on the basis of my rank, so I chose it. Many things are required to change the syllabus and many more things. Events are okay in this college and not like IIT or NIT level but are really enjoying.

Review of Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology.
Placements: The average package in the college is 6.5 LPA. Many tech companies have visited the college in the past future, and currently. Almost 80-90% of students got placed. The highest package of the college is 52 LPA in 2024 to 25. Majorly the students from CSE, IT, and ECE get the highest packages.
Infrastructure: The hostel is basically average and rooms are very small. Rooms are available in two types two-sharing and four-sharing. Wi-Fi is provided all over the campus. Classrooms in 1st year are basically pretty good. It contains a smart board and air-conditioning in every room. The cafeteria, sports ground and every basic necessary thing is provided on the campus. There are quite good food options in the cafeteria.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite good. They are very professional in their work. They teach very well in classrooms. The course curriculum is not up to the mark but it is above average for the industry. Semester exams in the college are quite hard. Many students get beclogs in maths during the course.
Other: I chose this course because electronics and communication have a large scope in the future. The college has got NIRF 84 rank in engineering, which is a quite good rank for a government engineering college. The college is spread over approximately 350 acres of campus which includes a big sports ground and many department buildings. In MMMUT, many fests are organised like cultural fest, sports fest, DJ night, etc.
