Basic Eligibility Criteria: Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (12th standard), Senior Secondary Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination within scope and standard found to be equivalent to the Senior Secondary Examination of a recognized Indian Board / University with at least three subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Agriculture/Inter-Agriculture as core courses, from a recognized Institute/ University. Candidate must secure the mentioned marks in aggregate. (Mentioned marks of OBC is for OBC- NCL, 50% is required for UPS, EWS categories and 40% is required for Third Gender, PwBD categories. Candidate already appeared in the qualifying examination enumerated above, can also apply on evidence basis. Mandatory Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must have studied XIIth Std. passed in 10+2 pattern with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as essential subjects at 12th Standard. NOTE: Candidate(s) who appears in subject(s) different than the one which s(he) passed in 12th standard will not be considered for admission. Candidate having a compartment/supplementary in any of the subjects will not be eligible.

Candidate must attempt only those subjects (at least 3 subjects) in the examination as per the choice given in the Application Form. Candidate(s) who have obtained any diploma or vocational course after matriculation will not be eligible. Candidate should be an Indian National. Candidate should be of at least 16 years of age as on 31.08.2024. No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit. Candidates shall not be admitted to B.F.Sc. degree course, if he / she suffer disabilities as listed below – a) Disability of total body including disability of chest / spine more than 50%. b) Disability of lower limb of more than 50%. c) Disability of upper limb. d) Visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability. e) Candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies etc. f) Disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of the duties of a Fishery Expert.
