In terms of placements, the University has achieved a good placement record. Over the past two years, the top industry in which the highest percentage of MBA offers were made has been the same, i.e. Banking, Finance, and Insurance. The University has a separate hostel for boys and girls. The main hostel has accommodation for over 250 students. Moreover, the hostel facilities include water coolers, common rooms, phones, xerox machines, Sports Facilities, Canteen, Mess Facility, T.V. facilities, Vehicle Stand, etc.

The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University is accredited with a "B" Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Moreover, the university has 563 affiliated colleges, out of which 56 are government-aided colleges and 507 are self-financed colleges. It is a state-level university that was established in 1975.

MJPRU Bareilly admissions are both merit and entrance-based for respective UG and PG courses. For a few UG courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, etc., admissions are offered based on candidates' merit scores obtained in their last qualifying exam. Further, to get admission to courses such as LLB, MEd, MSc, etc., candidates have to qualify for the university-level entrance exam. For other UG and PG courses, Rohilkhand University accepts a valid scores of CUET UG and CUET PG entrance exams. Later on, the selected students are allocated seats via a counselling process. MJPRU admissions are either entrance or merit-based. Candidates have to qualify for the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for any of the UG & PG courses. For PG courses, MJPRU conducts the MJPRU entrance exam. Apart from that for courses such as BPharm, BTech, MBA, MCA, etc., the university accepts valid scores of JEE Main, CUET UG & CUET PG entrance exams. Further, for other UG courses, admissions are entirely based on the merit obtained in the previous qualifying exam.

MJRPU offers around 30 courses at the UG, PG, and PhD levels. Some of the courses include BTech, MA, MSc, LLB, LLM, B.Ed, M.Ed, and various others.
