Admission to BSc at Mangalore University is merit-based/ entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The next step is to qualify for the merit/cutoff list. Some of the affiliated colleges of Mangalore University accept the scores of the last qualifying exam for admission to BSc courses. On the other hand, other colleges might accept the scores of entrance examinations too for admissions to BSc courses. B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most popular UG level courses of Alva's College, Moodbidire (constituent college of Mangalore University). The university offers BTech in Computer Science and Engineering in full-time mode for the duration of 4 years in UG level. The university offers the respective courses on the basis of 45% aggregate in Class 12 with Physics and Maths as compulsory subject. The university considers KCET scores for final admission. Furthermore, the BTech in Computer Science and Engineering graduates have received the median package of worth INR 2.82 Lakh.  

Mangalore University offers courses such as BSc in various specialisations for the duration of 3 years to 4 years in full-time mode. Admissions to the respective courses is offered on the basis of merit and requires for candidates to secure a minimum aggregate of 35% in Class 12 with valid scores in CBSE 12, Karnataka 2 PUC, ISC, KCET, UK 12. The university offers admission to BSc with an annual intake of 5400+ students.

Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 35% to 45% in Class 12 and 45% to 50% in graduation.
