MAKAUT Course Admissions 2025: Registration, Eligibility, Fee & Dates

MAKAUT University accepts both merit and entrance based exam scores. The university conducts CET exam in June for admission to courses such as BSc, MSc, BBA and BCA courses. MAKAUT conducts JEMAT for admission to MBA and MHA courses. It also accepts a few other state/ national-level entrance exams such as WBJEE, PGET,  UGC NET  (including JRF)/ CSIR NET for admission to UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes.

Candidates wanting to get admission to MAKAUT for BTech must qualify West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) exam and WBJEE Counselling. MAKAUT offers admission MBA course based on CAT scores through the affiliated colleges. The top affiliated colleges for MBA are Camellia School of Business Management, AIM, Supreme Knowledge Foundation Group of Institutions, Budge Institute of Technology and GIMT. As per the last year's cutoff MAKAUT CAT cutoff 2022, the overall CAT Percentile required for Camellia School of Business Management was 80, whereas for AIM, Supreme Knowledge Foundation Group of Institutions, Budge Institute of Technology and GIMT, the required CAT percentile was 25. The MCA fees at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) range between INR 80 K - INR 3.2 lakh. The duration of the course is between two to three years. The entrance exams accepted include WBJEE JECA, JCECE, etc. Moreover, candidates also need to pass Class 12 and graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

Candidates need to visit the MAKAUT website and download the application form. Then fill out the application form and submit it along with the required documents. After this, candidates need to pay the application fee and appear for the MAKAUT entrance exam. Candidates who are selected will be issued an admission letter. The application fee to apply is INR 500 for General and OBC category candidates and INR 250 for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates. The entrance exams accepted include MAKAUT CET WBJEE PGET, UGC NET JEMAT and GATE etc.

The total tuition fee for a two-year MAKAUT M.Tech programme ranges from INR 36,000 to INR 23.9 lakh. Since, this is the totak tuition fees, overall fee may include other components such as security deposists, exam fees, etc. This fee is given in a range, as the fees for a few MTech specialisations vary from the others.
