Yes, from the year 2022 onwards, Mizoram University has made it mandatory for students to qualify CUET entrance exam for admission to UG courses. By qualifying CUET, students will able to get admission in the courses offered at campus or in affiliated colleges of Mizoram University. Below are some of the courses offered based on CUET score:

For 2022, cut off was 197775 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering in Mizoram University. Aspirants need to secure the cut off and above rank for admission to the BTech course.

For 2024, cut off was 655364 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Civil Engineering in Mizoram University. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant. Cutoff is the minimum score required for getting admission to a course. 

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electrical Engineering was 338365. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Mizoram University.

Mizoram University offers admission to its BTech courses on entrance score basis. Aspirants who are Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) can apply. Candidates can apply in online mode through the official website. For offline applications, students can reach out to the admission office. The selection in the course is further done based on MZUEEE/ JEE Main followed by CSAB Counselling. 

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 43523 and closing rank was 146688. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to B.Tech. in Computer Engineering in Mizoram University is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
