Considering the last round 2024 cutoff, B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most sought-after BE/BTech specialization with a closing rank of 900182 for the general AI quota. The closing cutoff for the same stood at 900245 in 2023.

On the contrary the least competitive specialisations for admission in 2024 were B.E. in Textile Engineering and B.E. in Textile Technology with closing cutoff ranks of 990398 and 931654, respectively.

Among the OBC category, the JEE Main closing cutoffs varied between 901143 and 921064, wherein B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering has the lowest cutoff, making it the most difficult for admission in the AI quota. MSU Baroda cutoff 2025 was concluded with the release of the final cutoff list. In the final round, the cutoff for the most competitive B.E. / B.Tech branch, i.e. B.E. in Electronics Engineering, was 900164 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.

In 2024, the cutoff for the same specialisation was 900206, and in 2023, it was 900298. This trend over the past three years suggests that the level of competition has decreased for B.E. in Electronics Engineering admission.
