NLU Odisha (NLUO): Courses, Fees, Admission 2025, Placements, Cutoff

Yes, NLU Odisha have a state domicile reservation for the candidates belonging to various categories under Home State. Unlike many NLUs, it has released its CLAT cutoff 2025 for both All India and Home State quotas. In relation to that, the NLU Odisha cutoff 2025 for BA LLB Hons. and BBA LLB Hons. courses under General Home State quota stood at 1913 and 3066, respectively. Yes, National Law University Odisha (NLUO) accepts CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) score for admission to its undergraduate law programs, including the 5-year integrated Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) LL.B. program. CLAT is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate law programs in participating National Law Universities (NLUs) and other law institutes in India.

NLUO considers CLAT scores along with other factors such as the candidate's academic performance, extracurricular activities, and personal statement in the admission process. The university releases its admission criteria and cut-off ranks each year on its official website.

The NLU Odisha CLAT cutoff 2024 for the Fifth Round was released on May 28, 2024, by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU). The cutoffs were released for admissions to LLM flagship programmes for 2024. 

According to the Round 5 Allotment List for the NLU Odisha cutoff 2024, for getting admission to NLU Odisha, the closing rank needed for the General AI category for LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law was 1358. Similarly, the required rank for SC, ST, and PWD AI candidates stood at 5215, 8575, and 10680. NLU Odisha offers BA LLB and BBA LLB courses for the duration of five years. When it comes to the placements, the institute offers good placements annually. As per the NLU Odisha NIRF report 2024, a total of 87 students were placed out of the 177 students in reputed companies and law firms in 2023. For admission to BA LLB course at NLUO candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT counselling will be called by NLUO through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT. Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists. Those, who have been allotted a seat in the NLU Orissa Provisional Allotment Lists, must complete the process of exercising any one of the actions mentioned below:

1. Accept the allotted seat
2. Apply for Revise
3. Exit from the CLAT admission process

If alloted seat is accepted by the candidate. After, that the candidates need to report to NLU Odisha for admission. The admission confirmation requires, documents submission and fees submission by the candidates through the official portal of NLU Odisha. 

The university has not released the recent placements statistics. However, as per the NLU Odisha NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during UG five-year courses, such as BA LLB placements 2023 stood at INR 14.5 LPA. Further, 87 students were placed out of 177 during UG 5-year placements 2023, respectively.

As pe the CLAT Counselling schedule, CLAT Counselling 2024 is expected to be conducted in five rounds. Also, as per CLAT cutoff 2023, the counselling has been concluded after five rounds. NLU Odisha accepts CLAT scores for admission to the Law courses including BA LLB (Hons) at UG level and LLM at PG level. Candidates seeking admission to NLU Odisha courses must apply through CLAT Counselling. The counselling is conducted round wise for seat allotment to NLUs including National University of Law Odisha. CNLU has released the CLAT Round 1 Seat Allotment result for NLU Odisha for B.A. LL.B. and B.A.2 in Corporate and Commercial Law courses. The opening All India Rank for BA LLB in the CLAT R1 is 591 and the closing rank is 1080 for the General category under the Vertical Reservation. 

For the LLB course offered at NLU Odisha, the opening rank is 494 and the closing rank is 982 for the General category under Verticle Reservation.
