National Law University Odisha, Cuttack admissions 2026 are open. A few more updates are given below:
- The CLAT 2026 4th merit list is out for admission to the PG-level LLM programme. Students must pay the confirmation fee by May 8, 2026, to either Float or Freeze their allotted seats.
- The CLAT 2026 fourth merit list for admission to the five-year Integrated LLB (UG) courses is postponed. The new updated schedule will be announced on or after May 8, 2026.
NLUO Highlights 2025
National Law University Odisha is one of the newly established University among 23 NLUs. It is a state-level university that is UGC recognised and a member of the AIU. It is accredited with an “A” Grade by NAAC. The University offers UG, PG and doctorate courses in Law. You can pursue BA LLB Hons, BBA LLB Hons, LLM, PhD and MPhil at NLUO. All courses are Bar Council of India recognised. Every year, NLUO admits approximately 250 students under all UG, PG and PhD programmes.

Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists. Those, who have been allotted a seat in the NLU Odisha Provisional Allotment Lists, must complete the process of exercising any one of the actions mentioned below:
- Accept the allotted seat
- Apply for Revise
- Exit from the CLAT admission process
If alloted seat is accepted by the candidate. After, that the candidates need to report to NLU Odisha for admission. The admission confirmation requires, documents submission and fees submission by the candidates through the official portal of NLU Odisha.
As pe the CLAT Counselling schedule, CLAT Counselling 2024 is expected to be conducted in five rounds. Also, as per CLAT cutoff 2023, the counselling has been concluded after five rounds. NLUO Scholarships 2025
The University offers a merit-based scholarship for UG students. This scholarship is offered on the basis of scores obtained in the qualifying exam. Details regarding National Law University, Odisha scholarship are mentioned below:
- NLUO Undergraduate Scholarship: Under this scholarship, candidates are awarded with a scholarship of Rs 1 lakh. The annual family income of the student should be less than Rs 5 lakh, and a candidate must have secured at least 60 per cent aggregate in HSC, to be eligible for this scholarship.

At present, the University offers six basic courses. These are BA LLB Hons, BBA LLB Hons, LLM, PhD, MPhil and BVoc. It also offers PhD in full-time and part-time mode. The minimum duration of full-time PhD programme is three years, whereas MPhil has a minimum duration of two years. Apart from the Law courses, the University also offers a three-year BVoc programme under the Community College with an intake of 50 students. NLU Odisha accepts the CLAT cutoff ranks for admission to the LLM and the BA LLB (Hon) course. The NLU Odisha CLAT cutoff 2026 was released for all categories under the All India quota till round 2.

NLU Odisha offers a total of 120 seats for the BA LLB course. Among these, 25% seats are reserved for General, ST & SC students, and under 5% seats are reserved for Specially Abled Persons (SAP) at the all India level according to the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
