B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028

The college provides good infrastructure and facilities for students.
Placements: Up to 80% of the students from our senior batch were placed in the year 2024. Top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra and TCS (Tata Consultancy Services). The highest package was 23 lakhs in the year 2019, and the lowest was 6.3 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: The hostel environment is so good. You can look out for a clear and clean view from the courtyard outside the room. It looks like a green field. The Wi-Fi system is moderate to average. Classrooms and labs also have good infrastructure. Mess food is also good, with no remnants from previous days. For sports and games, you can choose the indoor stadium as the best place, even if it is raining or during a thunderstorm, because it has good facilities for games like volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and kabaddi.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified pass-outs, professors from IITs and NITs. They will teach you in such a manner that if you are fully focused in class, you just need a quick review before semester exams. However, they teach very fast, which becomes quite difficult for newly learning batches; it was for me as well. In addition to these courses, additional courses are also required to become industry-ready, which you have to practice on your own, such as VLSI for ECE students. The semester exams were the easiest ones; the minimum SGPA in the first semester was 6, and the max went up to 9.7 SGPA.
Other: For the fest, I want to say that there are only 2-3 months. During this occasion, you can meet the fests like Kurukshetra (the gaming event), which goes on for 10 days. The biggest fest is the SANKALP, where various clubs perform their competitions and provide prize money. Mr. and Ms. Sankalp are also chosen from the first-year batch.

The Real Story Of My College Life.
Placements: From the total number of students, almost 70 percent get placements in different companies. The highest package this year is 25 LPA from Accenture. The lowest package is 5.5 LPA, and the average package is 9 LPA. Top recruiters coming to my college are Accenture, Zensar, Infosys, TCS, IBM, Texas Instruments, etc. Top roles offered are Data Analyst, Software Developer, Business Analyst, Software Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Each class has a blackboard, whiteboards, and smart boards. Different types of labs are there for each respective theory subject. There are two libraries in my college: one Central Library and the other one is the primary library. The food quality in the hostel is good, and the non-veg food is really awesome. There is a medical center present inside the college campus, and two ambulances are provided. There is an indoor stadium, a cricket ground, a basketball and volleyball court, a tennis court, and an outdoor stadium so that students can play games.
Faculty: Every faculty member of my college is really awesome except for a few. Faculty members are really helpful, supportive, qualified, knowledgeable, and teach so well that even a student getting failed can pass. The semester exams are not so easy and not so tough but are average so that students can pass easily. Almost 70 percent of students pass the semester exam with a good SGPA.
Other: I joined this college because the rules and regulations and the faculty members are good. The college provides an average placement of 9 LPA to the students, and placements of the highest package of 25 lakhs in MNCs like Accenture, Tata, Texas Instruments, etc. In my college, every year two celebrations are held: one is College Foundation Day and then the other one is the tech fest, that is, SANKALP. Students who are in clubs are really good, and the clubs play a vital role in enhancing their communication skills and reducing their stage fear to zero.

Review of National Institute of Science and Technology.
Placements: There is a good experience of placement. The college will provide you 75% placement; you only have to need skills to grab that opportunity. You only have to attend the classes and labs regularly. You have to give the assignment, quiz, midterm, surprise test, etc. regularly.
Infrastructure: I am a scholar student but I visited the hostel 2-4 times, and that was quite good. Classrooms, libraries and canteens are very good. You can enjoy every moment of this college time. You will never be bored in class or during extra time.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful; only you have to figure out what your problem is, and then you can continue any of the teachers. Semester exams will be held over a period of 5 months. You will have enough time for the preparation and the questions will also be easy.
Other: My branch is electronics and communication engineering. It is very great and for me, it is the best. Other branches are also the best.

Review of National Institute of Science and Technology.
Placements: In my course, the current placement rate is low, but the focus of the college is mainly on my branch. The college is trying to provide placements for the students as much as possible. The batches of 2020 and 2019 did not have very good placement opportunities, but it is expected to be settled by the time batch 2022 passes out.
Infrastructure: The college offers quite good infrastructure and courses for core branches, although it is not very active for IT CSE students, but still, it provides guidance to them. The course is designed keeping in mind that the students do not get burdened with the course curriculum.
Faculty: Yes, most of the teachers in this college are quite knowledgeable about the concepts they teach. They are readily available for students even after class hours to assist them with their doubts. They excel in their subjects and take regular assessments to keep a check on students' understanding of the subject.
Other: The college is best for students who want to pursue their career in electrical or electronics related field.

Above average placements and good faculty members. The exposure is good.
Placements: Regarding placements I would consider it as above average. Almost 85 to 90% of students are placed every year. And specially for electronics and communication branch students, prominent companies like Western digital ( around 19-20 LPA), Texas instruments and many more visit our college during placement drive. So there are plenty of opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: Coming to infrastructure Nist campus is spread over 60acres of land. There different buildings for different branch students like Galleria, Lecture hall complex, Core, Atrium, Tifac. It also has a library named Octagon which has air conditioning facility and adequate amount of books available for students. It also includes a big cafeteria where somewhat good quality food is being served at nominal prices. Classrooms are quite good equipped with projectors and big seating capacity (around 70 students) in each classrooms and well maintained labs with supportive staff. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Pretty nice campus with greenery around and good scenery. It also has a big indoor stadium and gym which allows for extra physical activities for students and also a Swimming pool named after Micheal Helps.
Faculty: Faculty here are supportive not super strict or anything. They all have minimum qualification of Masters and Phds. Most of them are well knowledgeable on their respective branch. Their teaching quality is quite good. Coming to exams every year there are 2 exams conducted by the college one is midsem and another is mainsem. The difficult level of the exams vary but overall it is above moderate not very much difficult.
Other: I am a local so basically I chose this course because it is one of the best college in my hometown. They provide enough exposure for students regarding their branch. I wish more building should be built in the empty space of college. For recreational purpose of students every year college fest name Sankalp is conducted of two days. Prominent celebrities are invited for the fest (last year Epr had visited our college). Also there different types of technical, non technical and cultural club are present in our college. Students can join these clubs from 2nd year. There are different type of club activities which are both entertaining and also informative. There is probably zero ragging in the college, seniors are most supportive and hill crowd.

I am lucky to study in the greatest college.
Placements: About 80% of students placed in our college. The highest package is 20 LPA, the lowest package is 8 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. Wipro, cadence, Cisco, Sam, IBP, and National Instrument are recruiting for our course. About 8% of students got the internship. Tata Power offered an internship in our course.
Infrastructure: National Institute of Science and Technology has good facilities on campus. Hostel facilities are very good, food is good and washroom is clean. Medical facilities are on our college campus, and sports and games are in an indoor stadium on our college campus.
Faculty: We have good teachers and supportive teachers. Qualifications of teachers are graduation passes in our college. They have good manners, and good behavior and are like good friends. I am lucky to have great teachers.
Other: It was my childhood aim to become good electronics communication engineer, so I chose this course. Our college is the best.

A short description on Life in NIST.
Placements: This time the campus recruitment was more than 90%. Almost every student got placed. The lowest package was about 3.5 LPA whereas the highest was 21 LPA on campus. Students also applied for off-campus companies and one of them even bagged a package of 40 LPA.
Infrastructure: One of the best things about NIST is its infrastructure. We have dedicated buildings for almost every branch. Even the first years have a dedicated building. We have a swimming pool, indoor stadium, Rock garden and many other places to chill out. There are 2 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls inside the campus premises.
Faculty: ECE branch is blessed to have the best faculty members in NIST. Other branches have good faculty members as well. The semester exams are very strict and you must have good knowledge in order to move ahead without a back paper. There are 6 papers per semester which is not a big deal.
Other: The faculty members for ECE were the reason I chose this branch.

Review of National Institute of Science and Technology.
Placements: This college is excellent for placements. Last year, the highest salary package was 21 LPA. It guarantees that everyone will get a job. There will be a difference in salary packages.
Infrastructure: The medical services are available all day till 9 pm, and the food quality is average for paying 4,000 per month. The food quality can be increased. It is not as good as compared to other colleges with the same mess fee. There is good water availability 24*7.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. Even though the teachers have a busy schedule, they are still available in their cabins and very patient while answering. This is an autonomous college, yet the question papers are difficult compared to universities.
Other: Considering the fee you pay, this college is just fine. This college is perfect for ECE and CSE branch students.
