All things about NIST University.
Placements: Many students got placed. NIST is famous for its placements and job opportunities. The highest salary package offered in our college is more than 19 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Many high-level companies visit our college for placements like TCS, Flipkart, etc. Mostly more than 70% of students got internships. Graduated students get internships.
Infrastructure: The overall course system is very nice. There is a big library in the college. Our classrooms are very good. Wi-Fi is available for students in the college and hostel area. The hostel room and canteen food are very nice according to the fee. For the air conditioning room, the fee is Rs. 53,000. The fee for non-air conditioning is Rs. 35,000. The mess or canteen fee is Rs. 4,000 per month. There is a gym and an indoor stadium on our college campus. There are different outdoor stadiums for different sports like basketball, football, cricket, etc.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and highly educated. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality is very nice and easy to learn. The course makes students industry-ready. For a student who attends class regularly and self-study, there are no difficulties in any semester exam.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because there are good opportunities nowadays and upcoming future. Because we see the number of power plants, electrical vehicles, and solar plants increasing day by day. So there is a large number of electrical engineers required.

Absolutely it is a good place to learn.
Placements: Placements are good as compared to other private colleges in Orissa. The average salary offered here is around 3 LPA. Wipro and Infosys are one of the main recruiting companies here. Nowadays, the internship rate has been increased. Many students do an internship in good companies.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is good and is up to the mark. Labs are maintained, and the proper equipment is available. The research lab is highly advanced. The hostel facility is good. Air-conditioned rooms are available for 1st-year students, while the rest of the year's students stay in non-air-conditioned rooms.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified, and they have a high degree of knowledge. They are helpful, and they are strict here. The quality of education provided here is good and relevant. Courses have been reviewed regularly. Labs help to gain practical knowledge. Students get a chance to learn a lot of things here.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in the electric department.

If you are searching for a good private engineering college, you can go for NIST.
Placements: Placements are all about luck and depends on your communication skills. In our college, most of the students of CS, IT and ECE branches were placed, but for the core branch, it is not easy to get placed. Salary packages offered here are ranging in between 1.8 LPA to 7-8 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 3 LPA. Some of the companies that mainly visit our campus for recruitment are Infosys, Wipro, Cape Electrical, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. It is well maintained compared to other private colleges. Free Wi-Fi is there for the students on the campus and also in the hostel. There are two libraries, one for B.Tech and another for MBA students. Foods quality of the hostel is not good as per my experience, but overall there are average facilities in terms of medical, sports and others.
Faculty: Some of the teachers here were well qualified, but some were fully dependent on their notes. The only thing that is not well is the teacher's attitude and not cooperating nature. The course curriculum is not that relevant as everyone is focusing on how to clear the papers rather than to get knowledge. The system is not focusing on practical knowledge which is not good for the students future.
Other: I have chosen this course because I was always interested in electricity and that's why I have done my B.Tech from electrical engineering. The main thing that should be improved is to focus on providing practical knowledge to students. In our college, two events are organised every year, and they are Sankalp and Waves.

Good due to the facility and teachers.
Placements: From our batch around 40% students got placed through campus recruitment. The highest salary offered by byju's was 10LPA AND the lowest salary offered by BONDADA 1.2LPA. AVG salary offered by infy was 3.6LPA. The companies came to our college was infosys, wipro, byju's, perfect VIP.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is up to the mark. Classrooms and labs are good. Wi-Fi facility is not good because it is very slow. Hostel rooms are good but the food was not that much good. Medical facility is also not upto the mark. For sports there is a basketball ground badminton and tennis ground and volley ball ground. Cricket also there is a pitch near to college.
Faculty: Teachers of Nist are very good and very helpful. If you show your interest towards gaining knowledge then teachers are there to help you out at every situation. Yes they provide placement related courses like apti reasoning classes with business communication and c programme classes which make a student industry ready.

I am dissatisfied with our college because of its excess rules and regulations and some teachers.
Placements: Only 30% of the students from our course got placed. The salary package offered was 4 LPA. Infosys and Tech Systems are the top recruiters for our course. The top role offered in our course is a software engineer. The highest salary package offered in our course is 4 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA. Only 10-20% of the students got internships in various software companies. The placements record of our college was decreasing year by year due to fluctuations in rules imposed day by day. Excessive rules and regulations were hampering students time and their career.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of the campus were average. But the mess and food served were really the worst. The quality of the food which we got at the time of admission never got again in the next 4 years. Our college didn't stand on that promises whatever it gave about the mess charge during the admission.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members here were well educated, knowledgeable and helpful. But some teachers were very rude as they don't care about the career of students due to their ego and negative attitude, which was without any reason.
Other: Engineering is one of the best degrees because it teaches students to handle every phase of their life. It has much scope and many opportunities to start a career.

If you an average student and interested in CS and IT branches, then it is a good college.
Placements: Approximately 40% of the students got placed through on-campus, and 10 to 15 students got a job offer through off-campus placements. The average salary package offered was 2.50 LPA. Mainly Infosys and Wipro are the mass requirement companies of our college. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA through on-campus, and through off-campus 3 students got a salary package of 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.2 LPA. 0.1% of the students got an internship.
Infrastructure: If anyone from a big city, then this place is not for you. It is a very small city, but everything is available except PVR. The college is spread over 60 acres of land, which is very small as compared to other colleges. Hostel facilities were good, but the mess quality is very bad and unhygienic. Wi-Fi, labs and library are good.
Faculty: Very few faculty members in our college are very good and have very good knowledge in their respective subject, and they want to teach students. Rest all faculty members don't have enough knowledge to teach students. If they attend any exam, then they will fail.
Other: I have chosen an electrical engineering course, and the best thing about it is without electricity, human beings will become a handicap.

College should improve their placement cell and connectivity.
Placements: Student placed in my course was 15%-20%. The highest salary offered was 10 Lacs by byju's. The lowest salary offered was 1.2 Lacs by 2-3 small core company. The average salary offered was 2-2.5 Lacs. No top recruiter in my course only 2-3 core company has come. Top role offered was nill all company offered for 1 year training. The highest package offered in my course was 1.8 Lacs The lowest package offered was 1.2 Lacs The average package offered was 1.5 Lacs No support from college, internship was from student personally applied or offline applied.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure was below average. No Wi-Fi available in the campus only in hostel. Labs was average with less equipment. Classroom and library was good. Quality of food in the mess was average. Canteen was not there. Medical facilities was below average. No support from college for sports and games.
Faculty: Yes teachers were helpful. Yes teachers were qualified. Some of the teachers were very knowledgeable Teaching quality was good but should be improved. But no support for smart class room. No support from college for getting student got industry ready.
Other: I choose this course because I wanted to study for electrical. Connectivity was the worst. Scholarship for only ST/SC student who's parents income is less than 1 Lacs. Scholarship was of Grant of book fees i.e RS 7000. Campus surrounding was very poor because nothing besides the college campus the market was almost 20 km far.

If you are not selected in any other college, and you have a low budget for engineering, go for it.
Placements: Almost 30-35% of the students got placements. The mass recruiter is Infosys. The salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. Almost 105 students out of 900 got placements. The highest salary package offered is 18.7 LPA, and it was offered to two students from ECE branch. The core companies (private) provide very less salary package, and also they want a bond of 3 years with students which is not a great deal for you.
Infrastructure: There are non-air-conditioned classrooms. Few classrooms have air-conditioners but not in working condition. The auditorium has air-conditioners which also work. Ther Wi-Fi is fine, and labs are good. The library is great, and there are different books you want. There is no on-campus medical facility. Students are taken out with van or ambulance car as the college is 16 km away from town and on the national highway. The food served in the mess is not that good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. All of them are master degree holders. There may be some communication gap between you and some of the faculty. Most of them do understand the situation. For cheap engineering, you should go there. If you don't want to interact with the town, then college is good. But it's fine, and you'll manage after being there for a few days.
Other: Electrical engineering in this college is pretty good, and faculty are also very good and helpful. Even CSE and ECE branches are far better than our branch. The course fee is fine, and if you have a budget of 2 lacs per year in engineering. Events in this college are fine, but there are not many vast arrangements. The campus is really green and eco-friendly. The hostel is fine. Both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned options are there.
