NIT Durgapur admissions are based on national-level entrance exam score for most of the courses. The challenging part is qualifying the entrance exam. Candidates need JEE Main rank for BTech, GATE for M.Tech and IIT JAM for MSc admission. CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT scores are accepted for MBA admission. Aspirants must prepare well for the entrance exam to get admission in NIT Durgapur courses. BTech is one of the popular programme of NIT Durgapur. The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The institute is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. NIT Durgapur admission to BTech is based on JEE Main score. Candidates are selected through their past academic scores and rank obtained in JEE Main exam. After the commencement of all the selection rounds, candidates have to register for JoSAA Counselling process. The final seat allotment is done through JoSAA Counselling process. Further, if seats remain unfilled, then the vacant seats are filled with CSAB Counselling.

GATE CCMT 2023 registrations will tentatively begin in the first week of June 2023. A candidate who is qualified with a valid GATE score card will be able to register for the CCMT 2023. A seat will be offered to the candidate through counselling based on the scores of the candidates in GATE 2023 and the cutoffs of the respective institute. The GATE CCMT 2023 counselling process will be conducted in three rounds. Also, two special rounds will be conducted in case vacant seats become available. The registration fee is INR 3000 for the regular rounds and an additional INR 3000 if he or she wishes to partake in the special rounds.
