NIT Durgapur PhD Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Under PhD, NIT Durgapur provides PhD courses in Regular Research Scholars and Professional Research Scholars. It is available in several specialisations, including Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Physics, etc. These courses take at least three years. PhD at NIT Durgapur is granted on the basis of the result of the national level admissions examination and /or viva voice administered by the institute.

NIT may permit change in branch of BTech of a student admitted through JEE (Main) after the second semester if there are any vacancies in that branch based upon JoSAA/CSAB seat matrix category wise.
