Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon formerly known as North Maharashtra University was established in 1990. The University is recognised by the UGC and accredited with an 'A' Grade by the NAAC. NMU has been ranked 145 in the Southern Asia category by QS World University Rankings 2023 and also, ranked 50 in the overall category by The Week 2024.
NMU has over 220 affiliated colleges and 4 universities. North Maharashtra University offers admission to students based on entrance test scores and the merit of their academic performance. The selection criteria differ from one course to another.
