The admission to the course is through a common entrance test and the seats are allocated based on the merit list and the qualifying marks of the previous year study and other eligibility criterias applied.

Graduation is the primary requirement for admission to Osmania University's postgraduate programme. For entry into MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, or M.Li.Sc programmes, applicants must have completed their undergraduate degrees in the respective discipline with a minimum cumulative GPA of 40%. No, Osmania University doesn't have any provision of direct admission for UG and PG programmes. Candidates seeking admission to Osmania University clear the course-specific entrance test. Based on the entrance test scores, selected candidates are then called for a counselling round depending upon the course. For PG, PG Diploma and five-year integrated courses, candidates must have to clear the CPGET entrance test, followed by a web counselling round.

Osmania University offers over twenty-seven undergraduates, sixty-eight postgraduates, two twenty-four PG Diploma and fifteen certificate courses. Apart from these, Osmania University also offers distance education. At the undergraduate level, the University offers BTech, BSc, BPharm and B.Ed, among others. At the postgraduate level, OU offers MBA, MCA, MA, MCom and LLM, among others.
