Plaksha University offers admission to PhD programme based on entrance exam scores of the candidates. The university prefers aspirants with scores in CSIR NET-JRF, DBT-JRF, UGC-NET-JRF, GATE, IIT JAM, etc. Such shortlisted aspirants are exempted from appearing for the written test conducted by Plaksha University and are called directly for the interview round. For other selected candidates, a written test based on NET/GATE syllabus of the concerned discipline, is conducted to shortlist aspirants for the interview.

Plaksha University accepts multiple entrance exams such as JEE Main,  SAT India, and ACT, followed by an interview round for final selection. Candidates can opt any one of the exams for addmission to the BTech course. Admission decisions are of 4 types - Firm offer, conditional offer, deferral of decision and denial. Students who apply using only predicted scores may go through an extra stage of evaluation.

Aspirants from Science or Economics background need to complete a four-year bachelor's or three-year Bachelors with PG Diploma (40 credits)/ Masters with Mathematics, Statistics and programming to apply for the MS programme.

Candidates must have up to three-year full-time professional work experience to apply for MS at Plaksha University. Aspirans must also have a score in CAT, GMAT, GRE or GATE for admission. Aspirants also need to complete a bachelor's degree to apply for MS programme.

Plaksha University BTech qualifications has multiple variations. Some of the qualification required are mentioned below:

• Applicants should be currently enrolled in or have successfully completed Class 12. 
• Students from all recognised state, national and international boards are eligible. 
• Applicants must have studied either (1) Mathematics or (2) Physics and Biology until Class 12. 
• Academic details from Class 9-12, extra-curricular, co-curricular profile and written/video essays.  
• Atleast one of SAT, ACT, JEE Main, Class 12 board scores, to be eligible for a firm offer of  admission.  
• Predicted Class 12 score, to be considered for a conditional offer of admission. 

Students coming from commerce and humanities backgrounds can apply for the undergraduate programs at Plaksha, as long as they have studied Mathematics up to Class 12. The undergraduate degrees include BTech programmes and will require the students to go through a freshmore curriculum with core engineering courses including Physics. 

Plaksha University provides need-based and merit-based scholarships from 25%-100% waiver on tuition fees to selected candidates. Students must have an admission offer to apply for the scholarship. Applicants with admission offer are automatically considered for merit scholarship in first academic year.

The popular programme offered at Plaksha University is BTech. It is offered at the UG level for a duration of 4 years. It is offered in 4 specialisations including Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Economics & Business, Biological Systems Engineering, and, Robotics & Cyber-Physical Systems.

It is not mandatory, however students with valid JEE score can apply for BTech course. The college also accepts SATACT, Pearson UG exam for admission. So, students can apply by appearing for either of the above exams.
