The course is available at the Department of Computer Science of the Puducherry campus and at the Department of Computer Science of the Karaikal campus of Pondicherry University. A total of 125 seats are available combined at both campuses out of which 75 are available at the Puducherry campus while the remaining 50 are offered at the Karaikal campus.

Pondicherry Central University accepts CUET PG scores for admission to a list of postgraduate courses. Pondicherry University has released the CUET PG merit list for several postgraduate courses. As per Pondicherry University first merit list 2023, the cutoff score for an MA in Human Rights and Inclusive Policy course was 116 for the General All India category students. In 2022, the cutoff score stood at 167 for the MA in Human Rights and Inclusive Policy programme. Yes, there are 22 hostels present on the university campus. 14 are for boys and 8 for girls.  The rooms are on a sharing basis, with two to four students in one room. Hostel rooms have basic facilities, such as beds, chairs, and cupboards, and contain a dining hall, a library, a games room, and a laundry room for the residents.  Hostel accommodation is only on a first-come, first-served basis and is reserved for students coming from distant places, and for those who are pursuing certain courses, such as medicine and engineering, etc. 

 

 

 

Apart from the full-time programmes, the University offers distance education programmes in the field of Management, Commerce, Arts, Business Administration and more. Admission to all these programmes is done on the basis of merit.

• BBA and BCom are offered at the UG level. The course duration of both programmes is three years. Candidates who have done Class 12 can apply for these programmes. The final selection of students is based on the HSC scores.
• Apart from the UG programmes, the University offers three PG programmes under distance education. MCom, MA and MBA are offered with a course duration of two years. The renewal of Pondicherry University BA scholarships is done based on merit scored in the semester exams. The first three candidates who secured the highest marks in the previous semester (SGPA) are awarded merit scholarships. Tabulated below is the scholarship amount awarded:

Pondicherry University scholarships are offers various on merit and need basis. The scholarship is given to all PG programmes. Names of some of the scholarships are listed below:

National Testing Agency re-commenced CUET 2026 registration on February 23, 2026. Soon after the release of the CUET notification, candidates can check the important dates about CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration was February 26, 2026 (11.50 PM).

Candidates were required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained.
