Presidency University of Kolkata is public state University so student can get admission directly aslo by direct contacting to the college and asking them about vacant seats and eligibility and also if some donation required for getting direct admission you have to confirm it directly by visiting University upto 60% seats are reserved for direct admission students here.
The applications will be available in the Presidency University website. The application procedure starts at the start of January every year. The application forms for UG Courses will be out from the 1st week of January and the last date for application is in the 2nd week of February. The entrance exam would be conducted in at the end of May.

Students who are looking for admissions at the UG and PG level course, the student have to appear the entrance exams. For UG course, Presidency University, Kolkata has PUBDET and for PG courses, it has PUMDET. Since, the university is adhered to the entrance exam scores, there are no any other medium to get admission apart from this.
The Application Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI only. Application fees for PUBDET-2025 is INR 500 (Rupees five hundred only) for one paper and INR 250 for each additional paper, plus the Bank’s Service Charges, if applicable. Candidates can check the official website of WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board) to know all about the application fee submission process or Shiksha page.
Candidates interested to appear in PUBDET exam are required to check the eligibility criteria for the exam mentioned below. Check out the academic qualification below:
- Candidates should have cleared higher secondary examination Class 12 that is conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or equivalent exam, not before 2020.
- The candidate must pass Class 12 with at least five recognised subjects, including English language and excluding Environmental Science. The aggregate is to be calculated in the best four recognised subjects.
