I am satisfied with the locality of the college.

Placements: Placements are not at all provided in the college, it is not only for our batch, but also for all the batches. The authorities don't even think about it. Only MBA, biotechnology and bio information departments are concerned about placements. Nothing is provided for other students.

Infrastructure: Everything in the college is good, but the hostel is a problem because the number of students admitted is beyond its capacity. Wi-Fi facility must be open on the campus. More number of hostels should be made available soon for the upcoming session. They are not inaugurating the library which was already built. The old one is devastating; there are no proper books. Toilet and drinking facilities in the library are poor. There is no public toilet in the university.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are not as good as expected. They are not satisfying. They make themselves busy in other things rather than teaching. There is no scope for students to learn. There are no expectations from the faculty members. They only take credit for others' work. They make students do their personal work. They cannot be considered as an inspiration.

Other: The college is good in other aspects.

Dissatisfied because of placements.

Placements: Our Department has a good demand in the university but due to some reasons there is no placement offered by any companies from several years. Despite of this our students are doing very well in the GATE and NET examinations. In the current year a student got JRF in the NET National Eligibility Test) and another student got Ph.D. in Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of mines Dhanbad through GATE rank. About 95% of student of our department last year interned in Geological Survey Of India. Yes, there is a placement cell in our university.

Infrastructure: Sambalpur university is located in burla, western Odisha. The university is surrounded by dense forest and hills. The campus is natural and beautiful. There are 10 post graduate hostels in the university campus and out of which four are ladies hostel and six men hostel. One can enjoy the beautiful scenic beauty of the university in the rainy and winter season. There are two nationalized banks, one post office, one health center, one auditorium, one police outpost, one faculty house and one community center.

Faculty: The post graduate department of our university offers PG Diploma, M.A. M.Phil M TECH, Ph.D. Degrees, Dsc. All the departments are actively involved in the extracurricular activities. They are all well-equipped with research laboratories for GATE NET students. Many PG departments have recognised as center of excellence have been receiving special grants for doing research.

Other: There is a good campus and well surroundings in the university.
