B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.0
Good infrastructure, highly educated and knowledgeable staff, and good placement.
Placements: The percentage of students placed from ECE is above 70 percent. The highest package is 40 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for ECE are Samsung and HCL. The top roles offered in ECE are Embedded Designer, VLSI Engineer, etc. Most of the students get their dream jobs in their dream companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are better compared to other colleges, with costly equipment and educated lab staff. Classrooms are spacious and comfortable. The Wi-Fi connection is poor around the college, but the labs that require Wi-Fi access can use the connection properly.
Faculty: Most of the staff members are highly educated and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching and explaining concepts are highly up to the mark. Semesters are not difficult if students have good internal marks, and the pass percentage is likely high. The passing percentage is 50%.
Other: Students who are more interested in the electrical side are likely to choose ECE. The best thing about this course is that it is in demand, as the industry needs more ECE engineers. The best thing about the college is the cultural activities. Every week, there are 3–4 events in different departments. The college provides opportunities for students to improve their talents. Scholarships are also provided to students.

B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2029
3.0
An average college experience with good placements and opportunities for high-paying jobs.
Placements: Around 90–94% of students get placed. The company that offered the highest package recently provided around 41 LPA. On average, students get around 5.5 LPA, and entry-level jobs usually offer around 3–4 LPA depending on the company. Companies offering placements at Amazon, Oracle, Nokia, Siemens, Cognizant, Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys, Bosch, and Valeo. Many students get internships at companies like Nokia, Oracle, Siemens, Bosch, Schneider Electric, and Microchip. The roles offered include Software Engineer, Graduate Engineer Trainee, Embedded Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The ECE department has good laboratories for VLSI, Embedded Systems, Communication Engineering, and Signal Processing. The department also has classrooms, Wi-Fi across the campus, a central library, and an LMS platform. The hostel facilities are comfortable. Cleaning staff visit the hostels every day, and security is available throughout the campus. The food in the mess and canteen is okay, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The college has sports facilities like a cricket ground, basketball court, and badminton court, though they are mostly used during tournaments.
Faculty: Faculty members in the ECE department are very helpful and approachable. They explain concepts clearly and encourage students to participate in projects, workshops, and technical events. The ECE department updates its curriculum regularly. It covers important industry areas like IoT, Embedded Systems, AI, and VLSI. Practical sessions and project-based learning are also part of the department. The semester exams are moderately difficult. It can be cleared with good internal marks and 80% attendance in ECE classes.
Other: What I like most about the course is learning about Embedded Systems, VLSI, IoT, and communication technologies. We also get opportunities to work in labs and on projects. It would be better if students got more opportunities to work with companies and earn specialized certificates in certain areas. The campus life is enjoyable. Many events like symposiums, cultural fests, workshops, hackathons, and club activities happen regularly.

B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2024

It is an average experience for me.
Placements: The placements were average in 2024. After COVID, the placement percentage dropped significantly. The 2023 batch got really good placements. The real struggle began for our batch. We faced a lot of struggles during placements. The number of companies visiting the campus dropped by about 60%.
Infrastructure: The hostel and campus infrastructure were very good. The classrooms, library, and labs were well developed and well integrated. The food was also good and was served free of cost to both hostellers and non-hostellers. Even bus services were provided free of cost.
Faculty: The curriculum was satisfactory for some and disappointing for others. It was a hit or miss for my course. It mainly depended on teachers. Some were outstanding, others struggled to teach the subjects.
Other: It was a great experience with many unforgettable moments.

The college is totally worth the money and time in my opinion.
Placements: I am pursuing the Electronics and Communication batch (2023-2027). Three placement opportunities are very good for the course especially for students who are strong in their technical and communication skills. SDE is the top role offered in my college as a graduate.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. High-speed Wi-Fi is available in all the labs and the library. The food in the Sathyamaba canteen is good but the food in the mess is somewhat low quality and the mess has low maintenance.
Faculty: The faculty in our department is very helpful for the students in both academic and project work. Most faculty are well-qualified and knowledgeable and also have good teaching experience. The teaching quality is very good especially in the core subjects. The faculty members are very helpful to the students.

The college provides good academic knowledge and a disciplined environment for students.
Placements: The placement cell provides training programs, aptitude coaching, and interview guidance. It helps students improve their employability and career opportunities. The common role offered is Software Engineer. Around 70–80% of eligible students get placed through campus recruitment.
Infrastructure: College provides a comfortable environment for academics, hostel life, and extracurricular activities. Department has spacious classrooms, Wi-Fi connectivity, and well equipped laboratories. It has seminar halls and a useful central library with many books and digital resources.
Faculty: The curriculum covers core concepts, programming, lab sessions, mini projects, and emerging technologies. The pass percentage is generally good. Internal assessments, assignments, and practical exams also help students score better. Academic system is well structured and beneficial for students.

Good placements and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements from Sathyabama are really good. Nearly 270 companies like TCS, Accenture, Deloitte, etc. Visited our campus until now, and so many students have been placed. Both core and IT companies are visiting. My batchmates got placed in 40 LPA companies and still many of them are trying.
Infrastructure: The facilities are really good here at Sathyabama. We have libraries, labs for various subjects, all cleanly maintained, and we get Wi-Fi as well in certain places. We get 4 days of non-veg food and 2 days of veg food. Most of the labs are air-conditioned.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, and they clear doubts if we have any. As a student of ECE, I find my curriculum relevant as we study both hardware and software. Our semester question papers are also from our syllabus, so we can pass if we study the syllabus.

Good placements for the 2026 batch.
Placements: I belong to the final year (2026 passout) from Electronics and Communication Engineering. I got placed in Capgemini, and placement records are very good here. Many top recruiting companies came this year with more offers, along with multiple internships and full-time offers.
Infrastructure: As I am a day scholar, I was not in the hostel. But the food available here is good and proper. Facilities in the labs are sufficient for a student to learn, which include proper systems, wi-fi. Along with that, the library facilities were good for getting reference books for learning beyond the course materials we got.
Faculty: Faculty members are good mentors for helping us upskill ourselves. The course curriculum is relevant to help us understand the foundation. To make the student industry ready, students have to build projects. Hands-on will be given for basic foundation, and we have to upskill through online courses, along with trying projects.

Satisfied with my college. Best campus and good placements are offered.
Placements: Up to 90% of the students are placed on campus. The highest package is 41 LPA (2026), and the lowest is 3.5 to 5 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA. Top recruiters like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, and other product-based and service-based companies are coming for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi AC and non-AC rooms where the food provided is very good and tasty. The main thing in the hostel is that they have a very good environment, and the people are very friendly and good. We have our own security on our college campus premises.
Faculty: Courses is easy to study, and the faculty are friendly and gave more advice. The exams anre easy to pass, and lab work was very easy in college. Try to explore new things in college, as there are many events to explore. Try to learn outside of academics (coding).
Other: Infrastructure is the best thing, and we have good friendly staff and good food, where students work calmly in a peaceful environment.
