There are good placements, infrastructure, and facilities.

Placements: 90 percent of the students got placed from the course of biotechnology. The highest package is 20 LPA and there are also the lowest and average packages offered in the course of biotechnology. There are Bioneemtec and other companies recruiting. The top roles offered are in research.

Infrastructure: There are good facilities. The infrastructure of the biotechnology department is excellent. The quality of the food and the facilities in the hostel are excellent. There are good medical facilities. Sports and games are different.

Faculty: The teachers in the biotechnology department are helpful, well-qualified, and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum of biotechnology is relevant and it makes students industry-ready and the pass percentage is good.

Other: The course I chose is biotechnology and the course is very good at the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology.

Good placements in the year 2025.

Placements: My batch colleagues ( B.Tech biotech) got placed in Amazon, TCS, and ZIFO. They said it is a great experience and are happy with the salary package. Top recruiting companies are ZIFO, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, and HCL Tech. Some got internships in ZIFO, Amazon, and TCS.

Infrastructure: Facilities offered here at Sathyabama are always top-notch. Libraries have Wi-Fi, the latest edition of academic books, even old editions are available, language proficiency test books are also available. Hostels have a great food menu every week, it is safe for boys and girls, and a gym and other facilities are also available.

Faculty: The curriculum is always updated by the department. Teachers are also very knowledgeable, supportive, and constantly updating their knowledge and skills. Semester exams are moderately tough. Everyone can study well and get good marks if they put in their hard work.

Other: I loved Biology and Maths, so I wanted to study something that integrated both. Biotechnology is a field that's constantly evolving, so it's fun to sharpen our knowledge.

Absolutely very good faculty and facilities for students.

Placements: 70 percent of students from our department have been placed. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, the lowest package is 3-4 LPA, and the average package is 6-7 LPA. TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Amazon, Infosys recruit. 70 percent of students from our department got internship opportunities.

Infrastructure: The college has good Wi-Fi facilities and good infrastructure in the labs. There is availability of various books in the library, and we have clean and projector-equipped classrooms. Lab materials and apparatus are very good. Facilities in our hostel are very good, and the quality of food is excellent. We have a canteen.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified staff with knowledge, and their teaching quality is very good. This course is very helpful and needful, and it has increased after the pandemic situation. Now it is very useful and needful for the present health care conditions. Exams' difficulty is moderate.

The Overall Review of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology.

Placements: So the average percentage is about 80%, the people are being placed. Amazon is one of the top recruiting companies, along with TCS, Accenture, Cipla, and many other companies. The course provides us with an internship board program as well as a semester abroad, which will help us to gain knowledge and experience.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is good and well maintained, but I would not recommend staying in the hostel, as I also stayed there for a year. There is a network issue over there, due to which we couldn't contact easily, and the food is average. The infrastructure is also not so good.

Faculty: The faculty are very helpful and very friendly, always ready to help us with our queries. The curriculum, which was recently renewed in 2023, is very helpful as it focuses more on learning things practically than just theoretically. As for the examination structure, it is also very helpful.

Other: The branch which I am in is accredited by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) with an A+ grade due to the well-equipped laboratories as well as the most experienced faculty. There are a lot of opportunities due to the presence of the International Research Centre, Ocean Research Park, etc., which provide a lot of exposure.

Placements: Around 90 to 95 percent placement rate, with the lowest package at 3-5 lakhs, an average of 10-15 lakhs, and the highest at 20-25 lakhs. Companies like Biocon recruit here, and 70-80 percent of students get internships in various companies. It’s the best college for placements throughout Tamil Nadu.

Infrastructure: The college offers excellent facilities, including well-equipped labs, a library with a wide selection of books, and highly qualified teachers. The hostel has good facilities, with rooms shared by four people. Both veg and non-veg food options are available daily, and the food quality is excellent. Medical facilities are also available.

Faculty: Teachers were generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They were approachable for doubt-solving sessions and assisted in relevant fields. Most faculty members were well-versed in the subject matter, providing updated and accurate information that reflected both theoretical knowledge and industry practices.

Other: I like biology, so I chose this course. The best part is that the research in this course is very good. There are a lot of events happening in college.

Exceptional college experience.

Placements: The college consistently placed more than 96 percent of the students. 90 percent of students got internships. The highest package offered is 41 lacs per annum. The lowest package offered is 3 lacs per annum. The average package offered is 5.7 lacs.

Infrastructure: There are various facilities and infrastructure available, such as wi-fi, labs, classrooms, libraries, canteens, research centers, mess, basketball courts, churches, hospitals, pharmacies, bus and many more. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is very excellent.

College is good and getting better each year.

Placements: Placements are quite good. 80% of the students get placed, whether in a core or non-core company. Placement provides regular training for the placement students. The highest package secured in this batch is 41 LPA, the lowest being 3 LPA and the average was 5.7 LPA. Companies like ZIFO, MuSigma, Mindtree, etc. come for recruitment. Biotech students also have the opportunity to get placed in other IT-based companies other than biotech companies. The top roles offered are research scientist and analyst.

Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available across the campus. Classrooms are equipped with projectors to enhance learning. The campus library provides all kinds of books, including the essential books each semester and also literature novels and competitive books for GATE, IELTS, GRE, UPSC, etc. Language classes are also given. Day scholars get free lunch and the hostelers get all breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with evening snacks. Also, a canteen is available. Hospitals and sports arenas are also available.

Faculty: The faculty has a good attitude towards the students. If the student maintains a good rapport with the faculty members, they can get various help during projects and for getting good LORs. Semester exams are moderate and might depend on the subject. Above 50% are the passing marks.

Sathyabama university has good placements .

Placements: 90% of the students attending placement will get placed for sure in any company. The highest package is 25 LPA, the average is 5-8 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Mostly everything is an IT company; you can see core will come around the end of the semester and mostly 5-7 companies.

Infrastructure: Mess food is really good and the infrastructure is also good; it has every piece of equipment and instrument for the course and students should make use of it. The lab and project house have met the needs but they can improve. They have a designed placement cell that gives a variable train from top to bottom.

Faculty: The course weightage and difficulty are up to par and very professional for the industry. The exams and assignments are as regular as at other colleges. The books and materials are already available on the website, open to all. The pass percentage is above 50% for the respective exam.

Other: Nice and interactive campus.

Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
