I am thankful to Sikkim University for giving me a chance to be a part of the college.
Placements: 20 students are there in our class. There are no placements in our college. But if we do PG, we can get job. We can apply for PhD here at our college only.
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite good. The infrastructure is also good but some compartments are so far as our main block is in a different place. Other departments are in different places so sometimes it is difficult for us to go there and to go to the main office, it is quite difficult.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. All teachers are PhD holders and NET qualified. Everyone teaches very well. I love everything about it. Semester exams are quite hard but we have to do tests every day so we need to study every day which makes us smarter than others.
Other: It has always been my dream to become a chemist and also to crack the NET exam, so I chose it. I love everything about the college. Scholarships are also good so it's good to study here at our college.

The best university of my life, Sikkim University.
Placements: I will have completed my Masters in Physics from Sikkim University in 2024. About 10% of a batch of 50 students were placed. The package was in the range of 4-6 LPA. The top recruiters were coaching centres like Aakash, Physics Wallah, and Bansal. About 10% of the students got internships, which included paid internships in different countries such as Taiwan and China. A Masters in Physics opened multiple opportunities for the students to pursue their careers in different fields, such as research work, teaching professions, and engineering.
Infrastructure: The hostels are really good, and some old hostels are bad. Hostel rooms have two beds, a chair, a study table, almirah, fans, no AC. There are also washing machines and dryers on every floor. Mess food is average. They serve food 4 times a day, and the menu keeps changing every day and every week. They offer fruits, eggs, milk, bread, and other things also. Hostel registration is done along with academic registration only.
Faculty: I want to become a faculty of botany, so I chose the Masters in Botany course for my higher studies. The curriculum prepares students to gain good knowledge about the subject to deliver the knowledge to other students after completion. However, it would be more beneficial if some NET/SLET-based guidance was provided along with the course.

An honest review of Sikkim University.
Placements: The placement cell is not active for most of the departments in the university. The university campus is located in a remote area, and most of the departments are of the arts stream, so the placement cell is not at all active. However, it is active for some departments in the university.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and the facilities are available for students in the university. Hostels are quite good. Rules and regulations for students in the hostels are strict. The environment of the hostels is also safe for the girls' students.
Faculty: Faculty members of the university are well-qualified and experienced. Their teaching quality is also good. The level of exams in the university is moderate. Every year 2 final semester exams are being conducted by the university for the students, and the overall academic performance of the students is also being checked by the university.
Other: Actually, the university campus is not available completely for most of the students. Fests are conducted by the university every year, and different types of events are also conducted by the university for the enjoyment of the students.

Placement opportunities are not good.
Placements: Approximately only 40 percent of students get placed in this course at a good price, and if we talk about the highest package offered in this course, it is around 7 lacs per annum, and the lowest package is 3 lacs per annum. The top roles offered in this course are team leader in the research and analyst departments.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available for this course are excellent. All the classrooms are big and well-managed, and the library is full of the latest books. The food available in the mess is of good quality and hygiene, and the college also provides good medical facilities.
Faculty: The teachers and professors are so supportive and highly qualified, and the teaching quality is also excellent. Semester exams are easy to pass because they are conducted by following the previous year's question patterns, and most students easily pass the examination.

The faculty is good, but the infrastructure needs some improvement.
Placements: About 40 to 50 percent of students get internships in this course; however, the highest package offered in the course is 8 lacs per annum, and the lowest package offered is 3 lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Jindal Panther, Visa Steel, etc.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure shows antiquity, and different departments are separate. The facilities provided here on the college campus are so good, whether you talk about the library, labs, or classrooms; they are all well managed. The college also provides good medical facilities.
Faculty: Yes, all the teachers are so helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is also commendable, in my opinion. This course is relevant only if you are interested in the science field, as I am always interested in it, so it is relevant for me, and it makes the students industry-ready.
