Balance experience with strong infrastructure, active campus life, and scope.
Placements: 40 to 60% of students were placed. The highest package is 8 to 10 LPA, the average is 3 to 4 LPA, and the lowest is 4.5 to 6 LPA. Companies like Manupatra, LexisNexis, and Justdial are recruiting. Eighty to ninety percent of students secured internships at the High Court, District Court, Supreme Court, think tanks, NGOs, and corporate legal firms. Snil was ranked 9th in the country by the NIRF in 2024.
Infrastructure: Our university provides facilities like comfortable classrooms, free Wi-Fi for hostel students, a law library, a moot court, seminar halls, digital classrooms, and a library. The hostels are clean and well-maintained and offer 24/7 security, regular housekeeping, and maintained washrooms, with washing machines and water purifiers on every floor. The mess offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food with a balanced weekly menu. On Mondays and Thursdays, only vegetarian food is served. On special days, special meals are also provided. The university has its medical facility and hospital.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful, and the teachers are well qualified, with most holding LL.M. degrees and pursuing their Ph.D. Students can approach them outside the classroom as well. The teaching style varies among faculty members. The quality of teaching is decent, and they address all student concerns.
Other: I chose the BALLB (Hons.) course because I have a strong interest in the legal system and how it works. I think an improvement for the course would be to provide regular opportunities for moot court and legal aid camps to develop practical knowledge and skills. Every year, students celebrate a fest called Justice, and cultural days such as puja are also celebrated on the college campus for hostel students. The connectivity in the law campus is excellent, and everyone has a friendly nature.

    SOA: The actual law school.
Placements: About 30% of the students are placed in our course. The highest was around 12 LPA, and the lowest was around 7 LPA. Most of the students got jobs from their own findings rather than sitting for the placement. The students prefer to get off-site placements as it gives them a sense of confidence.
Infrastructure: There’s Wi-Fi, classrooms, and a library available. There’s an electronic library that can be accessed through your ID card only. The quality of the hostel is good. The cleaners clean the same every day. We do not have a dispensary in the hostel, but a nearby hospital is present. The food can be better, but it is doable.
Faculty: Teachers are all highly educated as well as knowledgeable. They have all graduated from top-ranking universities and are very smart. All the teachers know how to interact with the students. The semester exams aren’t tough, it honestly depends on the subject.
Other: I chose this course because I always had a budding passion for studying law and pursuing it. Something I wish would improve is the entry timings as well as the infrastructure.

    Good faculty, bad placements.
Placements: The placement in our college is very average, with around 60% of students getting placed every year. However, the packages are very low, around 2-3 LPA on average, with the highest being 6 LPA. The top recruiting company is Quickflex, and students usually get very few internship opportunities. Only about 8-9 students get internships every year, and even those are not in good places.
Infrastructure: We have a library and an e-library, but they are only open until 5 PM. There are AC classrooms, and each contains a projector screen. The college building does not have Wi-Fi, but the hostel has 24/7 Wi-Fi available. However, when the power goes off, there is no generator, so nothing works. There is a canteen on the college campus that is open until 9-10 PM and delivers anytime to your hostel. The mess food is average. Some days they make good food, but other days it cannot be eaten. There are 24/7 medical facilities available at the college hospital, which is around 3 km away from the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable and helpful, not just with the curriculum but also if you have any personal problems. Most teachers are either retired professors from reputed colleges or those who have studied at NLUs. The curriculum is the same as that of many NLUs. I don't think it makes students industry-ready, as it is just book-based. The semester exams are moderate, and around 70% of students pass the examinations.
Other: The best thing about this course is that you get practical knowledge about society. The fees are low, and you get decent facilities and faculty. Every year, a fest is organized where you can participate or just enjoy your time. It continues for 2 days. I wish they had better placements and a bigger college campus so that more activities could be held.

    Faculty members are excellent.
Placements: In the field of law, especially in an integrated B.A. LL.B. or similar programs, students are offered a wide range of career opportunities that are span litigation, corporate, public policy, and academia. Some top roles offered in law courses are litigation associate and corporate legal associate. Top law firms hire students from here.
Infrastructure: We cannot expect much from the canteen and mess. Sports and games are conducted here, but those are not so fun because the campus is not as good as I expected.
Faculty: Semester exams are easy if we pay attention to our studies. Semester exams are moderately challenging with a balanced mix of theory and application. The pass percentage is around 85-90%. Overall, students do good performance here and are passionate. Faculty members here are the best. Students can pursue their careers here as the study environment is the best.

At that time, placements were very good, and faculty members were also excellent.
Placements: At least 80% of students receive the same package, which is offered to each and every student. Tata is one of the top recruiting companies here. Very less students get internships through the college, in each batch, at least two students get internships from the college.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very good, but bathrooms are not so well maintained. The library is not available after 5 PM, which needs improvement. Wi-Fi facility in the hostel is good, but in the college, it does not work properly and is very slow. Food is available, but sanitation in the dining room needs to be improved.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some teachers are excellent, but I do not like the process of teaching of every teacher, so that needs improvement. The semester exams are not so difficult, but the pass percentage is average. We need to work on increasing the pass percentage of the college.
Other: I want to pursue my career here because the campus surroundings are very peaceful, but it would be better if roads are improved. Students get scholarships here.

Overall, college life was good for me.
Placements: Nearly 20 to 30 students were placed with a salary of Rs.20,000–Rs.30,000 per month. They were posted in Hyderabad and Chandigarh mostly. Almost everyone got internships from the 1st year to the 5th year. In our course, they mainly took students as legal advisors.
Infrastructure: There were facilities for Wi-Fi, labs, AC classrooms, and a library. The quality of food was moderate, and every month, they used to give a special dinner. In a medical emergency, an ambulance came immediately after informing, and it was free of cost for students.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful. The course I opted for was valuable for the money. The semester was not as difficult as we thought. The pass percentage of students was near about 80–85 percent. The students who didn’t attend classes totally had to take exams as back papers.
