The CNLU will release CLAT First Allotment List 2025 soon. Only those candidates who have registered for the Counselling process will be allowed. With fifth round, the CLAT Counselling Process 2025 will conclude. Students will be allocated seats based on their rank in the CLAT merit list and NLU seat matrix.

CLAT 2025 Counselling: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will begin the CLAT Counselling 2025 soon. Candidates who have already completed the CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration in December will be exempted from fresh registrations.CLAT Revised Results are now out. Candidates must complete the registration for the CLAT Counselling Process on or before the last date. Only those candidates who have received an invitation through email or SMS will be eligible to register for the CLAT Counselling 2025 admission process. 

As per the CLAT Counselling Notification 2025, there will be five rounds. Candidates will be allocated seats based on their rank in the CLAT merit list and NLUs seat matrix. The CLAT Entrance Exam was conducted on December 1, 2024. CLAT 2025 exam was held in pen-and-paper mode.

CLAT 2025 counselling instructions

Candidates who have received an invite from the consortium must register for the CLAT 2025 counselling process before the deadline. Candidates can follow the simple instructions given below to participate in CLAT 2025 counselling:

• Login to CLAT account
• Enter your credentials
• Validate the invitation for counselling in each round
• Click the ‘Make Payment’ tab
• Pay the counselling registration fee of INR 30,000 (general category candidates) or INR 20,000 (ST/ SC/ OBC/ BC/ EWS/ PWD categories)
• CLAT Counselling Registration Fee 2025 have to be made online
• Once the fee payment is done, you can log out.

How to Check CLAT 2025 Counselling and Seat Allotment Result?

Candidates can follow the instructions mentioned below to check the CLAT seat allotment result:

• Visit the website of CLAT, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
• Enter mobile number and password.
• Click on Login.
• Check the seat allotment result.

Note: There are 3, 213 seats for UG courses, and 1,217 seats for PG courses. The candidates who qualified CLAT 2025 will be shortlisted for admission rounds after they complete counseling registration and eligibility-related documentation. 

What after CLAT 2025 counselling registration?

Once, the CLAT 2025 Counselling registration process is over, all the registered eligible candidates will be allotted a seat at the preferred NLU. Candidates will be given the option to freeze, flor or exit during each round fo CLAT Counselling 2025. Candidates can check the freeze, float and exit option in detail below:

Freeze Option: In case a candidate is happy with the seat alloted to him/her then they can freeze it. With this they won't be allowed to appear in the further rounds of counselling. If a candidate freezes the seat, it means that he is confirming their seat at the allotted National Law University (NLU).

Float Option: If a candidate is not happy with the seat allotted to them and wants to pariticpate in further rounds of counselling they can select the float option. This option mean that candidate is accepting the seat allotted to them but is willing to pariticpate in further rouns of counselling for a better college. Candidate must note that in case they choose the float option and is allotted a seat in the next round then the seat allotted in the previous round will be forfeited.

Exit Option: During the counselling process, if a candidate feels that they don't want to pariticipate further, then they may choose an option to exit. If they choose this option, it means that they are withdrawing from the counselling process and they will not be considered for further round of counselling. The eligible candidate who has been allotted a seat as per NLU preferences will have to pay a non-refundable confirmation fee of INR 20,000 before selecting a ‘freeze’ or ‘float’ option before the deadline.

Candidates can check the list of documents required to upload for the admissions counselling process:

• Scanned copy of Class 10th marksheet.
• CLAT 2025 admit card.
• 12th marksheet.
• LLB/equivalent degree marksheet (for PG candidates).
• Character certificate.
• Transfer/migration certificate.
• Caste certificate.
• PwD/SAP certificate.
• Any other supporting documents.
