CLAT seat allotment list 2027 is released for each round of counselling. Candidates can check their All India rank, admit card number, vertical and horizontal reservation category and admission status in CLAT allotment list. For CLAT 2026, there are a total of 4,054 seats available for the 5-year LLB program and 1,591 seats for the LLM program.

CLAT Seat Allotment

Consortium of National Law Universities releases CLAT seat allotment result and merit lists for all rounds. Candidates who have qualified and registered for counselling can get CLAT 2027 seat allotment result link at official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. To download CLAT seat allotment result 2027 no login details are needed, as it is released in PDF format.

CLAT 2027 seat allotment list is released for each round of counselling. Candidates can check their All India rank, vertical and horizontal reservation category and admission status through CLAT seat allotment PDF. A total of five rounds of counselling is held. Consortium of NLUs will soon announce CLAT Counselling Dates, based on that candidates can complete their registration and other formalities. As per updates, CLAT Exam will be held in December 2026.

Q: What is the duration of CLAT PG exam?

The CLAT PG Exam will be held for duration of two hours; i.e. from 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates have to answer 120 questions in the given time frame. The scores of CLAT LLM 2027 score will be accepted by 19 NLUs in the country.

Q: What is good rank in CLAT exam?

A good rank in the CLAT exam for general category students is under 1,000–1,500 to secure admission in top-tier National Law Universities (NLUs). A rank under 500 is considered excellent for the top 5 NLUs, while a rank up to 3,000–5,000 can still secure a seat in newer, mid-tier NLUs.

As of 2026, 26 National Law Universities (NLUs) participate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). These universities offer undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs, with over 5,600 seats available in total. NLU Delhi is the only exception, conducting its own entrance exam (AILET) rather than participating in CLAT

Q: What is the CLAT exam duration?

The CLAT exam duration is two hours for both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate. It will have 120 multiple choice questions. For each correct answer one makrs will be given and -0.25 will be deducted for incorrect ones.

CLAT Admission Process 2027 after Seat Allotment

After release CLAT seat allotment list, candidates will get three choices. They either accept allocated seats, request upgrade or withdraw from seat allotment process. Check available options after CLAT allotment list

Freeze: Choose Freeze if you are satisfied with the allotted seat.
Float: Choose Float if you want to keep your allotted seat. Remaining eligible for upgrade to a higher-preference NLU in next rounds.
Exit: Choose Exit if you do not want allotted seat or wish to continue in counselling rounds. You will not be considered for any further rounds.
