Pune University MSc admission is subject to a valid score in Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. Candidates need to possess a bachelor's degree from a recognised institute/ university in the relevant field to apply for UniPune MSc admission. Candidates seeking enrolment via Pune University OEE 2025 can apply online on the official website of Campus Common Entrance Platform (CCEP). There is no requirement to submit the required documents or application form offline. 

Tuition fee for MSc at UNIPUNE is around INR 8,500 - INR 3.2 lakh. However, candidates have to pay the application fee and other one time admission charges. The fee is sourced from various sources. hence, its indicative.

At the PG level, UniPune offers a two-year MSc programme in over 20 specialisations. While admission to a majority of these specialisations is OEE based, there are a few courses, such as Medical Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Drug Chemistry, among others, admission to which is completely merit-based. In addition to this, there are a few MSc programmes, the duration of which is slightly different from the majority. UniPune admission 2025 for a majority of PG and UG courses, such as MSc, MA, MTech, MCom, BA and BBA, among others, is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. Additionally, there are numerous courses, such as MCA, MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH, E-MBA, LLM and M.Lib.I.Sc, among others, where the admission process is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam (Class 12 for UG admission and UG degree for PG admission). The university also accepts MAH CET, MAH MCA MET,  CMAT/ CAT/ ATMA and other exams for admission to a number of courses offered at its campus or its affiliated colleges. 

SPPU admission for a majority of PG and UG courses, such as M.Sc. M.A. M.Tech, M.Com B.A. And BBA among others, is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. Additionally, there are numerous courses, such as MCA MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH E-MBA, LL. M. and M. Lib. ISC among others, where the admission process is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam (Class 12 for UG admission and UG degree for PG admission). Thus, students will not be able to get direct admissions to Pune University.

Both the universities are good. However, let us look at the facts related to both the universities. Talking about the Pune University it has been ranked 23 under the 'University' category by the NIRF in 2024. On the other hand, Mumbai University has been ranked 61 in the same category by the NIRF in 2024. Savitribai Phule Pune University is recognised by UGC, it is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'.

SPPU is accredited A grade by NAAC. On a contrary, Mumbai University has been approved by the UGC and AIU, this 160-year old university has bagged A+ Grade via NAAC. Looking at these facts, it can be established that Pune University is a better university when compared to Mumbai University.

The Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), Savitribai Phule Pune University, has released the placement stats for its MBA Class of 2024. According to the latest report, the University achieved an 80.7% placement rate for its MBA Class of 2024. Savitribai Phule Pune University is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) along with AIU. Interestingly, SPPU is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. The University has been graded 'A' by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Savitribai Phule Pune University (also known as UNIPUNE, Pune University and SPPU), located at Pune, was established in 1949 through Poona University ACT. Therefore, it can be concluded that SPPU is one of the premier universities of India.
