Savitribai Phule Pune University  (also known as UNIPUNE, Pune University and SPPU), is a collegiate public state university. The University is located at Pune, was established in 1949 through Poona University Act and is one of the premier universities in India. Recognised by UGC, it is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. The University is accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC. UniPune is not very difficult to get admission. Students should qualify the minimum eligibility criteria. To get admission in SPPU for BSc programme candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria: A pass in Class 12 or equivalent from a statutory or recognised board/ university in India. Eligible candidates are than required to take the Online Entrance Examination (OEE), which is conducted by the centralized system of SPPU. Based on that exam admission to BSc programme will be made.

Candidates must pass a minimu of Class 12  or equivalent from a statutory or recognised board/ university in India to apply for UniPune BSc programmes. Besides, the university conducts the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) for selection to these courses. The University also offers a five-year Integrated MSc in Biotechnology and a PG BSc programme to admission to which are completely based on merit released basis the OEE exam conducted by SPPU. 

The selected candidates have to pay the admission fees or the first semester fees to lock their seats. UniPune fee structure is inclusive of different components, such as tuition fees, hostel fees, security deposit, etc. Savitribai Phule Pune University BSc tuition fee ranges from INR 7,900 to INR 7.6 lakh. In addition, the hostel charges are INR 3.15 lakh.
