Application deadline for BSc at SPPU has passed. OEE has already been conducted. For standard BSc programmes at affiliated colleges of SPPU, admissions are merit-based. SPPU Pune BSc Admission Process 2026

SPPU BSc admission process is different for university departments and affiliated colleges. On-campus BSc programmes require an Online Entrance Examination (OEE). Admissions to affiliated colleges are handled directly by the institutes based on Class 12 merit.The steps to be followed for SPPU admissions are explained below:

STEP 1: Application Process

Candidates seeking admission to can apply online on the official website and submit their application forms. There is no requirement to submit the required documents or application form offline.

Visit the official website at http://www.unipune.ac.in/
Register as a new user on the admission portal.
Fill in personal details, educational details, and course preferences.
Upload scanned copies of required documents including Class 12 mark sheet, passport photo, signature, and relevant reservation/caste certificates (if applicable).
Pay application fee and submit the form.

Please Note: The application fee for OEE is INR 600 for a single course (for General category students) and INR 400 (for reserved category candidates).

STEP 2: Selection Process

In this step, the applications can be evaluated based on eligibility fulfilment. Affiliated colleges give admission based on Class 12 merit. SPPU selects students based on score in OEE for admission at its main campus. OEE consists of a 100 MCQs. It is split into two sections:

Section B (80 Marks)	Subject-specific questions based on the basic Class 11 and 12 Science syllabus.

STEP 3: Admission Confirmation

The selected students can pay the admission fee and get their documents verified to confirm their seats. Candidates need to keep the following documents ready for admission:

Class 12 marksheet
Caste certificate/ NCL certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra (for Reserved Category candidates)
Valid income certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra
Medical certificate (for PwD Category candidates)

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and decent placement opportunities.

Placements: I am pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science. Placement opportunities are available through the college placement cell. Although most students prefer higher studies such as MCA, M.Sc., Computer Science, and professional certification. Around 40-50 percent of interested students get placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: The college provides good infrastructure for Computer Science students. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors. Computer laboratories are well-maintained with internet connectivity and updated systems. The library contains a good collection of books.

Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and qualified. They have good knowledge of their respective subjects. Most teachers explain concepts clearly and are supportive during practical sessions and project work. The curriculum covers programming, database, networking, software, and other important Computer Science subjects.

Other: The campus environment is friendly and student-oriented. Various technical events, cultural festivals, sports competitions, seminars and workshops are organised throughout the year.

Good college, but it needs development and stability.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was somewhat good, but not like other colleges. Overall, fee was also lower compared to other colleges.

Faculty: It was a bit easy to crack the exams. Basically, they pass you. But colleges need to be stricter in such exams. Students face many issues while studying, as they get the wrong teachers, and good teachers come only for a short duration.

Other: I would not recommend it. Keep it as a last option. Overall, I would rate it 3 stars. I had a B.Sc. in Animation, and it was not worth taking admission into this college, so be aware. I was in the B3 batch in my passing year of FY. I passed with a good score, but the main problem was faculty.

Average faculty members. Quite dissatisfied with the same and the management.

Placements: There were no such college placements held in the university for my passing out batches for the last 2 years at least for my specific degree. I think the average placement package is about 2.5 LPA-3 LPA. Internships are also quite difficult to find in this course since the tech field has improved so much and has made AI more helpful over the past couple of years.

Infrastructure: I don't stay in the hostel but as far as my friends have described it the living conditions seem okay but the food is quite bad in the hostel. The hostel mess is closed on Sundays. The college infrastructure is pretty huge. There are various departments in the university it's a pretty big campus and it's clean too. The college doesn't provide Wi-Fi for students but the staff is eligible to use it. They show good interest in sports and other physical activities also in NCC and NSS groups and camps.

Faculty: All faculty are average. There are multiple facilities, some of which are very helpful while others are not. The curriculum is relevant but the notes are a little difficult to understand. Also the faculty members don't provide notes as such due to which we always have to search for reference books in the library and since there are so many students in the same course sometimes (especially during exams) there are high chances that you won't find the books that you need in the library. The examinations are also a little difficult.

Other: Events and fests are encouraged by the college. Although the college crowd (students crowd) is not as good I think it's okay. I won't say it's the best but it's survival I guess. One thing that is frustrating about the management is that the examination office and the other office are situated very far apart from one end to another which is very inconvenient during the form filling, admission processes, etc.

Not bad college but an average college in the level of Pune.

Placements: The percentage required for placement is above 85 percent. The highest package is 3.5 LPA and the average package is 2.5 LPA. No random company comes for hiring freshers not specific recruitment in my course but I think BCA or B.Sc. is the most recruited.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing, the mess food is average, not that good but average. The computer labs and library are available for students for studies. The sports and games of college are absolutely amazing they're played in college.

Faculty: The college teachers are good at teaching. The teachers help weak students. The course curriculum is relevant and the college makes students ready for industry. The semester exams are very difficult but the teacher teaches us very well which is why the exam doesn't go that badly.

Other: I chose B.Sc. CS in this college. The coding language of our course is the best and I really admire the improvement not that much but little changes in the syllabus. The events and fests are average not that big and great but average.

Best for those students who don't want to go to big cities to study. Placement is average.

Placements: This college can't provide on-campus placement. It takes guest lectures on placements and they make a group to send the job opportunities to students. With this course students have many opportunities to pursue after completion. Placement percentage is very low.

Infrastructure: It has good computer labs with a strong Wi-Fi connection. The library is good for studying. There is no hostel and canteen. Students can grab books according to their needs for study from the library. The college has the facility of water coolers and when the coolers do not work they arrange the water source for students.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Some teachers have less experience in teaching. Exam papers come from the SPPU university. Exams are not very difficult. All of the teachers have a helpful nature. It makes students ready for the industry with their skills.

Other: College also organises fests and days. It provides scholarships for students.

Which entrance exam is required for BBA at D Y Patil University, Pune?
