Fergusson college is one of the best colleges for studies.
Placements: I am in my second year and the placement in fergusson college is good, and recently my seniors have been placed at INR 6.5 Lakhs per annum. But many of the students go for higher studies in computer Science and after completion of M.Sc. in computer Science placements are very good.
Infrastructure: Fergusson college is a historic college which was established by bal gangadhar tilak and many others. There is a main building which is a historic structure and an amphitheater with a capacity of 750 people and many cultural and guest meets are held here. One of the most famous annual function of fergusson college, spandan is organised here. The campus is of 66 acres.
Faculty: Faculty is very good and well experienced. They know their core subjects very deeply and they are friendly. I am in computer Science department and it is a very nice subject and makes students industry ready as future is in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY sector only. There are two main external exams held each year and they are not so difficult to pass.

Review of Fergusson College.
Placements: Placements are started from the 5th semester. Some top companies that visit our college for placements are Deloitte, Snyder Electric, D E Shaw, Capgemini, and other companies. Around 80-90% of students get placed and the remaining students apply for masters. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 2.8 LPA. Students either get a job or others prepare for other examinations and mostly pursue master's degrees in the same course.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities. Department library and spacious classrooms with projectors are available. There are three labs for computer science, 2 labs for mathematics, and 1 for Statistics.
Faculty: Teachers of our department are qualified and most of them have completed their master's degrees and Ph.D. in computer science. They are helpful and always ready to assist students regarding academics or out of academics. The course curriculum keeps changing according to industry requirements and makes students industry-ready. The difficulty level of exams is moderate. A student can easily pass exams with a few hours of study before a few days of exams. The pass percentage is 90%.

Good faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: Students get eligible for the placements from the 5th semester. Nearly 60% to 70% of students get placed but most of the students pursue higher education. The average package was 4-5 LPA and the highest package was 10 LPA offered by Infosys. Top Recruiting companies were Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. We have a placement cell that helps with placements, but we didn't get an internship through it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. There is a huge library in the college and also a personal library of each subject department. You can get all resources regarding a particular course in the library. Classrooms are big with good infrastructure, a projector in every class and CCTV. College also encourages students for extracurricular activities and sports. A huge ground, Badminton court, lawn tennis court, two basketball courts and gymkhana are the part of college. Apart from that college also encourage students to participate in NSS and NCC and it is believed that this college has one of the best NCC wings. Hostel facilities are good, maybe not for those who are looking for AC and all. Rooms are of a single B.Ed and double B.Ed. Single beds are allotted to the First year students and second year students, and double bedrooms are allotted to the final-year students. There are two messes just near the hostels which give unlimited meal with charge 2875 per month. Apart from hostels, there are PG rooms near the college, especially for girls.
Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified with M.Sc. or Ph.D. in their respected subject. Teachers teach in a very friendly way. Also, teachers complete the syllabus within the time given to them by the management. As an autonomous college, it has its own syllabus strongly based on the specificity of the course. Term exams are held after every four months with two unit tests, practicals are regular in each subject.

Review of Fergusson College.
Placements: I passed out of Fergusson College recently in the year 2022. I have done my graduation in computer science. The syllabus and curriculum are based on the demands of the industry, and hence, many top companies approach the college for placements. Most of the students in their final year got placed. Top companies that hired candidates include Deloitte, Schneider Electric etc.
Infrastructure: Fergusson College is home to one of the largest libraries, the Wadia library, providing students with a whole bunch of books for reference. The college has a lot of facilities, including hostels and support for sports and other cocurricular activities.
Faculty: The entire syllabus is prepared according to the industry standards and updated as and when needed. Teachers are always ready to help and guide you through the journey. Support is provided by the college academically. Semester exams are moderately difficult.
Other: Fergusson College is one of the top most colleges in India, and college life is the best.

It is the best college in Maharashtra for B.Sc. courses and B.A. courses.
Placements: Nearly 90-95% of students were placed in our college with minimum salary packages of 3.5 LPA and the highest salary package of 8 LPA. IT companies like Infosys, etc., are top recruiting companies in our college. About 60-70% of students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is quite old but for our department, we have new infrastructure. For the past 5 years, it is quite good and we have many facilities in our department like a water cooler, lift, Wi-Fi, etc. A hostel is also a good option for students who are from another city and the mess is also good.
Faculty: All teachers in our college are well qualified and are very helpful to students. Teaching quality is the best of all and every teacher tries to solve each student's doubts. This year's semester exams were a bit harder than expected but most of the students were able to pass the exams easily.
Other: I wanted to learn ethical hacking so I preferred this course. In our college, events are the best part of all. The campus is mostly crowded all the time since we have many students studying in our college.

They're a bit different for different categories (General,OBC,SC/ST etc) and for students coming from various boards (state,cbse). Though the cutoff varies on caste categories and also if the candidate is out

Maharashtra general or open category: Around 55.3 percent.
Maharashtra State reservation category: 75.6 percent.

MIT-WPU and Fergusson, Pune are well-reputed institutes for pursuing a degree in FYBA. Both are top-notch institutes in Pune, Maharashtra. According to me, Both the colleges are good enough when it comes to quality education and placements. But, if you ask me I would prefer Fergusson
