My honest opinion about St. Joseph's College, Irinjalakkuda.
Placements: Placement is good. Our college has a dedicated placement cell. It is active in organizing on-campus placement drives. They invite multiple companies to provide students with enough job opportunities. Many companies like Amazon, Flipkart, ICICI Bank, HDFC, TCS, Bajaj, etc. visit the campus for the recruitment of students. The average package offered to the students is around 3 LPA. The highest is 18 LPA. The placement process is well-defined, with an online test, group discussions, and then walk-in interviews. The college also provides internship opportunities for students, and the duration is 2 to 4 months.
Infrastructure: The hostel for 1st year is on a twin-sharing basis. From 2nd year onwards, the hostel provides a single room per student. The rooms are comfortable, and everything is in order. Every hostel has a separate mess facility. The mess offers different food daily, and the food is tasty.
Faculty: Faculty of the college is really talented and has great experience in their respective fields. They also hold Ph.D. degrees. They help students by sharing their life experiences while teaching with great examples, which makes the subjects more interesting. Students get the zeal and motivation to study. Overall, the faculty is really good. The course structure is very effective because they have good laboratory facilities to practice important coding in Computer Science. This helps students understand Computer Science more quickly and effectively. The course curriculum is relevant and covers most of the important topics required for academic and professional growth. It provides a good balance of theoretical and practical knowledge. However, adding more industry-oriented projects and practical training would make it even better. All teachers are highly qualified and are doctorate holders.

My honest opinion about my college.
Placements: There were good placements and job opportunities in my college. The college placement cell was very up-to-date and very active. They knew everything about the latest trends and understood what skills were required in the industry and that a student must possess those skills. There are lots of companies that came to my college and picked students. The average package was 3 LPA- 4.5 LPA. The highest package was 18 LPA- 22 LPA. Also, companies conducted interviews and practical tests for the selection of students.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure was very good. The facilities were also very good and up to the mark, as students had water supply, a living environment, and the hostel was very secure with CCTV cameras and security outside the hostel was well maintained. The mess food was good and hygienic.
Faculty: The exam structure was semester-wise, meaning twice a year. Before the theory exam you had to give a practical exam and the exam level was easy to moderate, everyone who studied throughout the year should pass. The faculty-to-student ratio was 1:5. The faculty-to-student relationship was mixed. I mean, some were very approachable. They really helped. I didn't like it because of their uncanny ability to hold a heavy ground of pretence that they were above and beyond anything ordinary, whereas in reality they were vermin. The exams were conducted entirely by the university. The curriculum was designed after a stringent check and research about the needs and demands of the market and prepares students accordingly by teaching and training. All the students were given a lot of practicals and assignments so that they could perform and write code or check errors anytime and anywhere.

Good campus and vibe. Placements gradually decreased after COVID but improve every year.
Placements: There are a total of 82 offers. Major recruiters are Walkaro, TVS, and Alstom. The highest package is 14 LPA. The average package is 3–6 LPA. Top roles are mechanical engineers, automobile specialists, mechanics, and even roles in IT fields.
Infrastructure: Classrooms have a great atmosphere and infrastructure. Lab facilities are good and well-maintained. Wi-Fi access is available. A large library and computing facilities are provided. The hostel has decent facilities and quality food. The college canteen is quite affordable. A medical sick room is available on campus. All sports are prioritized.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, friendly, and qualified. The course curriculum needs to be developed but has decent quality. Sometimes, students need extra courses to pursue. Semesters are not too tough, but they can be passed with consistent hard and smart work. An 89% pass mark was recorded in the last year.
Other: This course is a core and frequently updated course. The course should increase practical experience for students. All the events are managed well.

Absolutely dissatisfied because there are no skill-building activities, events, or programs.
Placements: Two students are placed. They say that a Ph.D. is better for getting jobs than a B.A. Economics. After completing Economics, you can become a teacher. Some last-year students got internships. I don't know which companies hire for internships. The role offered is Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are available. They provide Kerala Wi-Fi, which is a government Wi-Fi service. There is a huge library provided to us. Hostel facilities are always good, but the food provided by the mess is not so good. Medical facilities are also not good. More importance is given to arts programmes, with little importance given to sports and games.
Faculty: Almost all teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also good. In this era, most opportunities go to IT fields, so the opportunities in Economics are poor but good. Exams are always conducted by the college itself, so they are not a burden and are not difficult. The pass percentage is based on SGPA. The minimum is 3.
Other: I chose this course to improve my data knowledge. We learn about government roles and our surroundings. It would be better if they provided more skill-building activities. Events and fests are fewer. The campus is also smaller. But we get good connectivity, surroundings, and scholarships.

Field explorations are conducted by collecting funds from UGC.
Placements: Probably 120 to 140 seats were for all the postgraduate courses. The chances for students from postgraduate courses to get placed in campus drives fell between 20% and 40%. To avoid unnecessary tension, the placement in-charge was given to Infinity Consultancy Services to help students get placed at various corporates relevant to their studies.
Infrastructure: Spot admissions were in the month of June for all courses. There were separate cubicles for everything, like searching, laboratories, and staff. The ground was maintained with a good track to run. Most of the sports events were conducted here.
Faculty: Professors were experts in their areas of study. They were well-educated. They were frequently involved in the research of various projects developed by the passed-out students, helping them with full interest. Professors gave importance and weightage to exam papers. While theoretical content was given lower importance than research interests.

Review of St. Aloysius College.
Placements: The college provides a good platform for placing students in reputed companies. There is a separate placement cell in the college that looks after placement-related work. Various companies come to the college and conduct interviews. Many students are selected for jobs as well as internships. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, Amazon, Flipkart, and Wipro visit the campus. The average package was 3-6 LPA. The highest package was around 24–28 LPA. It depends on the student's experience and knowledge. Companies make offers based on interviews.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities of the college are good. The hostel is built inside the college campus and shares the same boundary walls. Security is maintained throughout the time. Food is available at all times. The food is always fresh, healthy, and very tasty. All students are given many facilities and resources to perform better. Wi-Fi service on the hostel campus is very good. Practical knowledge is also provided. However, adding more industry-oriented projects and practical training would make it even better. All teachers are highly qualified and doctorate holders.
Faculty: The frequency and timing of exams are excellent. The course curriculum is designed to make students understand the needs, requirements, and demands of the industry. Students are given all sorts of training and resources so that they can gain the best knowledge and education. They are also given many practical assignments so that they can understand the course in detail.
Other: I love animals, which is why I chose the course. There are good laboratory experiments that provide real-world applications. There should be less spoon-feeding in the course.
