University of Mumbai invites applications for its MA course along with all the other courses during the months of May, June or July every year. Mumbai University MA admission is conducted via two ways – through an entrance exam and merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates have to submit the pre-enrollment form along with the application form to get admission. For a few MA programmes, the University/ affiliated college conducts a GD and PI after the written test. The University of Mumbai offers two-year MA and MA (Hons) programmes in multiple specialisations to students at the postgraduate level. Out of these, MA General has 27 specialisations under it, namely Hindi, History, Economics and Arabic, among others. Admission to a majority of MA specialisations is based on university-conducted/ college-specific entrance exams. For remaining MA specialisations and MA (Hons) programmes, admission is subject to merit scores obtained by the students in the last qualifying degree exams. Like any other Institution/University maintaining an attendance of 75% is mandatory for the students at Mumbai University. If the students fail to maintain the number, the department/college doesn’t forward the examination form to the University exam unit.
