A good university with good faculty and facilities.

Placements: I am studying for a master's in commerce second year in post graduation department of commerce at Utkal University. Recruiting comapnies are ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Loreal, Hindustan Petroleum, etc. In our batch, around 54 out of 54 students got internship opportunities in HDFC Bank, FCI, OMC, OMFED, Xiomi, SBI, etc.

Infrastructure: There are 7 boys' hostels and 7 girls' hostels on campus. We have 3 Wi-Fi routes, an E-library, and air-conditioned classrooms. Hostels are clean and well-maintained. The food facility is very good. Hostel guards, wardens, and cleaning staffs are very responsible.

Faculty: There are 7 faculty members in our Department. They are very friendly, helpful, and cooperative. They also encourage in extracurricular activities. There are 2 semesters per year. Students have to face 4 semesters in their whole 2 years. In every semester, there is a mid-semester exam of 30 marks and end-semester of 70 marks.

Best college for a Masters degree.

Placements: Placement comes but no one accepts the offer, as most of the students who want to go in the lectureship line join this course. The package offered can be around 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. Companies that recruit are mostly Pvt. CA firms, Reliance Retail Smart, etc. An internship has to be done by everyone and that is the only compulsory thing you guys have to do. Companies like OPTCL, OMC, OHPC, NALCO, OMFED, etc. provide you with an internship lasting 1-2 months.

Infrastructure: There is a huge library on the campus. You have a separate building for your department. classrooms with smart boards. The interior is too good as compared to different colleges in BBSR. The infrastructure is good, with a wide parking area and a garden in front of the department building.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable, as their notes are very important. Each and every line taught in class has a deep connection with exam questions. This course is highly relevant, as children can experience and gain valuable insights from the teachers. Semester exams are highly difficult as this is PG level and you have to study accordingly. If you work hard, you can definitely pass the exams.

Other: I chose this course as I want to pursue a further career in lectureship line. The best thing about my course is that I have deep, thorough knowledge into every topic and I can get better guidance under this university. The improvement that must be made is about the timing, which is from 10 to 5 p. m. There are various events conducted and seminars are conducted on a monthly basis. The campus life is too good and peaceful. The campus is totally surrounded by trees, which gives you a natural feeling. Extracurricular activities like quiz, painting, acting, etc. are held. Inter-college competitions are also held.

One of the top university in Odisha to study and build a future.

Placements: As it is not a management course, their are no such opportunities for placements for most of the students looking for UGC NET. Some banking and insurance companies visited our department and placed students. There is a programme in the 2nd semester where it is compulsory for every student to do an internship provided by the department.

Infrastructure: The whole university is wi-fi covered, wherever you are. At the university, you can access the network. All departments are digitally equipped; classes are good and teachers are highly educated and experienced. There are also two libraries, one of which is a digital library where you can access computers. Hostels are good and clean, and there is no sanitary issue, but there is no mess facility; you have to cook by yourself.

Faculty: There is a lack of faculty members in our course; most of the teachers are guest faculty members from outside. The course curriculum is very relevant to the UGC NET syllabus. The semester exam questions are quite difficult but if you attend all the classes, you can sort them out.

Other: Studying at this university makes every student proud because it is the oldest university in Odisha and has a good name and fame in Asian countries.

The best commerce department in town.

Placements: PG department of commerce, Utkal University has a paper in the 1st year where its compulsory for all the students to complete their summer internship in companies such as OMC, SAIL, IPPB, Canara bank, etc. Students generally opt for JRF and 30-40% of students get placed with an average package of INR 6-7 Lacs .

Infrastructure: There is 24/7 Wi-Fi facility in hostels, classrooms, library and department campus. We enjoy the facilities of computer lab, parking area, garden and library in the department. The quality and quantity of food provided in the hostel is a value for money. Many sports activities are being conducted in the university among which UPL is the popular one.

Faculty: The best and important fact about PG department of commerce is its faculty. They are the best teachers, mentors and guide one can have. The course makes the students industry ready as it takes the students for industrial visit to different parts of india where they learn how the actual work is being done. The semester exams are quite moderate. It depends and varies from student to student as how clearly they have understood.

Other: This course will make you fit for the real world. It will bring the confidence and maturity and will able to make you face the obstacles. The classroom teaching is quite different in commerce department as every week students conduct seminars on the emerging topics which are relevant for their course and everyone participate in the same. Cultural programmes are also carried out and for which certificates and prizes are given. The pillars of the department is that it welcomes you as a family and that's the most valuable part of the journey .

Knowledge is a good friend.

Placements: First of all, I would like to tell you that this university is famous for placements. My senior students got maximum placements in different fields. Many institutes visited our Utkal for instruction and how to be successful in your field. Various kinds of roles offered to the students. 98.9 percent people passed the exam.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are provided with modern technology. The Wi-Fi is very fast, so students are very happy for this. The classrooms are very neat and clean. The medical facilities are of a very high quality. In sports, various meetings and programs conducted by our university. The canteen provides good food for students at a cheap price. There are ten hostels in our university. I did not face any infrastructure related issue in our university.

Faculty: The main part is the faculty. In this university, faculty members are trying to help every student and solve every problem. They are very high knowledgeable persons. Modern teachings are used in this university. I did not get any industry exposure. The course curriculum was very useful for the students.

Other: This university is about knowledge. I recommend this to everyone. In this university, if you want to study in various fields, then that is also available for the students. In this university, senior students also help us in studying. This university is also placed amongst nature in Orissa.
