Looks one way, but turns out to be another.

Placements: In my course, there are 60 students. There's no package in this course, we have to either look for a job or continue higher studies. I'm currently pursuing graduation, so there are no companies coming to the college to offer us a job. So, in a nutshell, I don't recommend taking admission in this course or even this college.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are not good, or we can say not up to the mark, the Wi-Fi never works. There are no extracurricular activities in the college, such as no sports or games. The hostel is just a mess and not clean, and the students living in college hostel are thinking of themselves as gundas and rowdies.

Faculty: No, I didn't like the way teachers are teaching, it's not helpful at all, the students need to prepare and study for the exams without any help from teachers. The semester examination is kind of easy and at the same time hard, as it all depends on the preparation of the students and the teaching of the teachers.

Other: I was interested in political world, but after taking admission in this college, my interest is just dead.

Review of Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Autonomous College.

Placements: In B.A. Geography course, the seats available per year are 16. There is no placement offered in this programme as it is a regular course, not self-financing. Seminars are conducted every month. Geography department consists of three rooms and one staff room.

Infrastructure: Hostel facility is available for students both girls and boys. I am not staying in the hostel, but my friend is staying in the hostel. In hostel, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner are provided to the students. Different meals are available in the canteen. The taste is very good. Annual sports day is held every year. Also, BSL (BJB Super League) cricket tournament is organized by the student association of BJB College where different teams play with each other. Inter-college sports events are also held.

Faculty: Faculty members of the department are very qualified and experienced. They help the students in every way possible. The new course curriculum is based on NEP 2020. The semester exams at the college are neither difficult nor easy. Most questions in the semester exam come directly from the syllabus. So, if a student wants to score good marks in a semester exam then he/she has to study according to the syllabus. For passing semester exams a student has to score 40 out of 100 by adding the marks of mid-semester, practical, attendance, and semester exam.

Other: I wish there were 24 seats for B.A. geography instead of 16, it would have been better. Every year fresher and farewell are held in every department of the college. Important events like Independence Day, Republic Day, Saraswati puja, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc., are celebrated in the college. The campus consists of administrative block, science block, arts block, playground, garden, canteen, cafeteria, boys hostel, girls hostel, and SBI Bank of BJB Nagar branch with ATM facility. Extracurricular activities are also held such as quiz competition, drawing painting competition, essay writing, elocution, NCC, NSS, and YRC.

I am satisfied, and it is one of the best government colleges in Bhubaneswar.

Placements: The percentage of placement is 40%, and the highest package offered is 3.5 LPA. The companies are usually telecom companies. Many internships are consulted by them, too. They prepare students for real-world challenges, and it helps in the future, so it is pretty good.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are very clean and well-maintained, and some classes have monitors. There are computer labs. Hostels are very clean and well-maintained. Hostel food is average. There is Wi-Fi also and a digital library with computers too. The college creates very good decorum.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-educated, and highly qualified. As my course builds a foundation for various upcoming careers, the pass percentage is 40%. The exams are properly monitored by invigilators, and it's hard sometimes too, but teachers are very supportive, not all but some.

Other: There are many events, such as departmental fests and departmental events, and many more. The college provides many scholarships, and the campus crowd is very good, not much problematic.

Absolutely satisfied with this course curriculum and college.

Placements: 60% of students were placed in my course. The highest package offered by the college was Rs 10,000 per month. Top recruiting companies were ex-agriculture department and weather news channel for my course. 50% of students got internships from my course in the agriculture department.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college was very good and famous in my area. Free Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, and library were available. In the hostel, a sleeping bed, study table, and free Wi-Fi were provided by the college. Food quality was also good. Medical facilities, sports, and games were provided by the college.

Faculty: Faculty members were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was also good. This course curriculum was relevant, and it made the students industry-ready. The semester exams were strictly organised by college and question level was moderate.

Other: I am interested in geography and history of the earth so I chose this course.

It is the worst college. I suggest students do not join this college.

Placements: There are no students. There are in total just 12 of us. They ask for too much money especially as it is for arts it should be minimal like around 40,000 but they are like we need to pay around 55,000 with hostel fees up to 60,000. This is like the worst decision of mine.

Infrastructure: There are no facilities. The library is bad and never orders books properly. Our semester exams are here and still, we haven't got any books, so we are so stressed. The infrastructure is no less and it's like the worst. There is no campus.

Faculty: In this case, I can say it's good. Teachers are good but the management is bad. They are well-qualified, funny, and good. They help a lot and make us understand things better. They all are good so I am impressed in this case.

Other: I chose English because of my love for literature. The college is bad but my course is not. The multidisciplinary course is too much I would love to improve that thing. Functions are good but for that, they put fine and all like now they are putting finest for no reason at all. It is like the management is torturing us. Can they please put a rapid on this college they are literally looting us.

Placements: This college is very good. The percentage of students is more than 60%. The salary package ranges from Rs. 80,000 - 2 LPA and every month they give internship of Rs. 9,000. Students get it from the top Indian companies.

Infrastructure: There are a lot of students in this department. There are more than a thousand books in the library. students sit quietly in the classroom and food is available. There is a medical facility in the class and every week there is a sports competition and good games are played.

Faculty: Teachers help a lot in their studies and are also qualified. They share knowledge and teaching quality is good. This is very good course, curriculum is relevant and students are industry-ready. There are 2-semester exams in a year and passing percentage is 40%.

Other: I chose the economics department course because it is very knowledgeable and it is very good, it improves. All year events, fest, campus scholarship, everything is very good.
