    Yes, the University offers a RUSA Doctoral Fellowship for / MPhil PhD students. The University announces the fellowship of INR 50,000 to INR 75,000 per month depending upon the academic qualifications, research competencies and publications for a maximum period of four years. For this fellowship, candidates can apply through the Common Research Entrance Test (CRET).     My two years of experience at Utkal University.
    Placements: Students of M.A. in Geography at our university get an average salary package of 5 LPA every year. Students work as cartographers, urban planners, surveyors, professors, researchers in various institutions like universities, research institutes, NGOs, non-profit organisations, government agencies, etc.
    Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure of our university is really good. High-speed Wi-Fi access is available across our entire university campus. Other facilities, like a well-equipped library, smart and air-conditioned classrooms, and specialised laboratories, are also provided to the students by our university. Our university canteen also provides us with very tasty and hygienic food.
    Faculty: All the faculty members of Utkal University are highly qualified. Teachers teach us with great attention. M.A. Geography is a two-year programme, divided into four semesters. Semesters are not too difficult to pass if one studies properly. Students need to maintain atleast 75% attendance to sit in the examination. Around 80% students easily pass the examination every year.

    My 2-year journey is really memorable. You can also join & have the experience. Teachers are good.
    Placements: I found this course more suitable in this digital world. You could pursue an M.A. in Journalism at BJB College. It provided real-time experience, practical guidance, and a friendly environment that made you more efficient in your studies. You could also explore opportunities with channels like OTV, Kanak, News 18, and more during your placement process. In this course, you could join roles in reporting, anchoring, copywriting, and more.
    Infrastructure: It also provided a Wi-Fi campus and a friendly classroom vibe. It had a big library where you could take books for your studies. There was no time limit to return the books because they had more books. You could also take notes from teachers, as they provided everything.
    Faculty: Teachers were also very friendly, and their guidance was amazing. You never forget it. Faculty members were from reputed media houses, providing real-time experience. During our time, our sir took us to OTV to see how it worked. The exams were difficult, but you could always take guidance from teachers. They were good at providing guidance.
    Other: Personally, I loved this field, as I always wanted to be a media person. Today, I also work with a reputed media house. You could start internships with many satellite media channels in your first year, which would give you more opportunities to connect with people and excel in the field. Something I wish I could have done during my time.

    SCS College is my dream one for Masters.
    Placements: Honestly speaking, in my two years of experience, there have been no big companies coming to the college for placement in Master in English Language. But for other courses like B.Ed, there are such opportunities for students to go to schools for placement. The percentage is very low for getting placement in any companies that come.
    Infrastructure: SCS College is one of the biggest colleges in Puri. The classrooms are kind of fit for 24 students in the Master's department. Labs and the library are almost useless for students. The Wi-Fi is not available, and the one that is available now is not that good. The canteen was shut down 2 years ago.
    Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. Main faculty members have completed their Ph.D. Also, the guest faculty members are good. The teaching quality feels like some university level. The course curriculum is based on the student's mindset and luck to get a job in the future. The English language is very important to learn. Semester exams are good enough, and difficult, but based on students' knowledge.
    Other: My love for literature is one of the reasons I chose the course. The best thing about the course is that you can be exposed to the diversity of British writers, which could help you reach deep into English writing. According to my research, there will not be any need for improvement in this course now. But some students think that there should be some grammar classes in this course. There are various events and fests going on in the college by various departments. Fresher and farewell are compulsory. Also, the seminars are good.
