- The CUET PG 2026 registration process for admission to PG courses is expected to begin in Jan 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration window is expected to open in the first week of Mar 2026 for admission to UG courses.
- The GATE 2026 registrations are now over for admission to ME/Mtech course. The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.

Central University of Kashmir Highlights 2025
The Central University of Kashmir is a public university. It is located in Srinagar, Kashmir. The university is also known as CUK Srinagar, and was established in 2009. The University has been granted 503+ acres of land during its establishment by the state government. It is recognised by the UGC and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). CUK is accredited with a “B++” Grade by the NAAC. Currently, the University offers UG, PG and PhD programmes under various streams. These courses are offered under nine constituent schools. It follows a Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) for the evaluation of all UG and PG programmes.
CUK has 21 schools and 21 departments. These offer 40+ PG, UG, Diploma, Research, and Vocational programmes. The campus of the University is well-equipped with basic facilities, such as labs, smart classrooms, a seminar hall, an auditorium, a library, hostels, transportation and more. At present, CUK Srinagar offers 40+ UG and PG programmes. The duration of UG and PG programmes varies from course to course, whereas integrated programmes have a course duration of 5 years. The University offers MPhil, PhD and integrated MPhil–PhD programmes under several departments. Furthermore, CUK Srinagar offers a part-time and full-time PhD with a minimum course duration of 3 years. Apart from the degree programmes, it also offers a PG diploma in several streams.

The University was established as the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established along with 15 other Central Universities by an Act of Parliament in 2009. The University has been granted 503+ acres of land during its establishment by the state government. CUK has 21 schools and 21 constituent teaching departments.
