Overview

NATA 2026 exam dates will be announced online at nata.in. The authorities will conduct NATA 2026 as a computer-based and pen-and-paper-based test every weekend from April 2026. The candidates will be eligible for a maximum of three attempts. If the candidates attempt more than one NATA 2026 session, then the best score will be considered for admission. NATA 2026 application form will be released online in March 2026. Other important NATA 2026 dates are expected to be announced soon. Candidates who qualify NATA 2026 will be eligible for BArch admissions in most of the colleges across the nation. CoA conducts no common counselling process for NATA 2026. Q:   Will NATA be held online?
A: 

NATA will be conducted by the authorities as an online  i.e., computer-based and offline test. The MCQ section will be held as a computer-based test, while the drawing and composition test will be held as an offline test. CoA will conduct NATA at various centres. All registered candidates will have to report to their allotted centres and attempt the examination through the systems provided there. The detailed information regarding NATA exam pattern has been announced online.

Q:   When will NATA 2026 application form be available?
A: 

NATA 2026 registration started on March 9, 2026. Candidates can fill out the NATA application form 2026 online at nata.in. The authorities do not accept offline applications for NATA 2026. All details submitted in the application form must be valid and consistent with the documents the candidates possess. The required fee has to be paid online.

Q:   How are the sections divided in the NATA 2026 question paper?
A: 

NATA 2026 question paper will have two sections. First section will be conducted as an offline test and will have drawing and composition questions. The second section will have MCQs. The questions will be prepared to check candidate's basic conceptual knowledge in various subjects that are important in architectural field. A total of 48 questions will be in NATA question paper.

Candidates can appear for maximum of 2 attempts in NATA in one academic year. The best score out of all the attempts is considered for final result. Score in NATA Test is valid for 2 academic years.

Part 1:Drawing and Composition Test  (Duration: 90 minutes,  Maximum marks: 80)

A1: Composition and Colour

A2: Sketching and Composition

A3: 3D composition

Part 2: Computer based Adaptive Test (Duration: 90 Minutes,  Maximum marks: 120 marks)

Applicants have to pay a fee for submitting NATA application form. Fee for NATA application form is INR 1750 for General/OBC category, INR 1250 for SC.ST/PwD category students, and INR 1000 for transgender students.

It is compulsory to get a valid NATA score to get admission in B.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. The test has two parts as follows:

Aspirants need to have NATA score for admission in BArch programme of MET's School of Architecture and Interior Design. The seats are allotted to aspirants based on their NATA scores via DTE CAP, Maharashtra.

Yes, students can get admission in SPA Delhi without NATA. Students with a score in the JEE Main Paper II are also eligible for BArch admissions. For other programmes, scores of exams, such as GATE, UCEED are also accepted.
