Excellent exposure to learn new skills and good facilities of education and sports.
Placements: 65% of students are placed with the highest package of 46 lakh and the lowest of 8 lakh. Gensler and HCP Design are two of the biggest recruiters in the architecture department. As internship is compulsory for the degree to be completed. The internship rate is 100%.
Infrastructure: There are 3 WiFi's available inside the campus every where, which are free and we also have LAN connections. There is a central library, which is the largest in Asia; apart from it, there is a dedicated library in every department and hostel. Same way there is a central sports arena in the college having world-class facilities and in the hostel as well. Mess food is also descent and there is a government hospital that is available 24x7.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful; apart from studies, they give us tips to evolve with the upcoming advancement in technologies. The curriculum is well dedicated to it's branch, which is the most unique thing of IIT KGP as it gives real-life analysis of our field of study. Semester exams are at medium level; it depends upon the student as well as the strictness of the professor.
Other: I am an UG student of the department of Architecture and Regional planning. I have given data of the architecture department only as I am in it and I know it very clearly and precisely. Apart from the location of the college, everything seems to be perfect; the location is also decent but don't expect city life here. Fest of IIT KGP are spring fest, shaurya and kshitij, which are the largest ones in pan India. Colleges from all over the country takes part in it. Bollywood actors and actresses, singers, and sportspersons mark their presence in it.

My review about IIT Kharagpur.
Placements: As my department is architecture and regional planning. In my department, most of the student sits for non-core placement and for those who sit for core placement there the highest packages are 6-8 LPA. The roles offered in my course are interior designer and site planner. The highest package offered in my course is 8 LPA and the lowest is 1 LPA. Only the top 10% of the students got an internship in my course.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in the IIT Kharagpur hostel are quite awesome. All the rooms of the hostels are well furnished and full wi-fi availability is in the hostel 24 into 7. All the classrooms are also well furnished and fully AC and there is a library called Central Library on the campus which is considered Asia's biggest library. The quality of the food is also quite good and if considering medical facilities there is a hospital inside the campus which is called as BC Roy Technology Hospital. For sports and games, there are different playgrounds present inside the campus.
Faculty: If you consider the teachers of my department of architecture they are quite helpful and all are Ph.D. scholars and knowledgeable and having an experience of more than 20 years of teaching architecture. Yes, if you want to become an architect then the course is quite relevant and it makes students industry-ready. If you consider semester exams, they are also quite moderate and easy to pass. Almost all the students passed in my course.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my core interest in architecture the best thing about my course is teaching style of professors. Overall, my course is quite good there is nothing to change in my course. If you consider about fest in IIT Kharagpur, there are two fests in IIT Kharagpur one is Sprinf Fest and the other is Kshitij which takes place in the month of January. For the extra academic activities, there are different types of societies and clubs inside the campus to enhance your personality.

Review of IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost everyone gets placed. Many architecture students generally don't much prefer the core field. So, lots of them get placed in a variety of fields and get jobs as software engineer, coder, analyst etc. The internship percentage is always more than 90% and is done in a variety of fields and companies.
Infrastructure: Hostels have gym facilities, and every room has a balcony. The food is good and also the students are free to order food outside whenever they wish too, and the college itself has lots of food courts. Every hostel has play courts, and the college provides a separate sports area as well.
Faculty: The teachers are really nice and knowledgeable. Most of them are very caring. This course mostly has assignments and presentations-based grading. Thus, the semester exams aren't that tough as there are very less number of theory subjects.
Other: I didn't want to choose engineering, but I wanted to be a part of IITKGP-my dream college, and that's why I had chosen this course. The campus is really a wonderful place to spend college life in as there are a lot many things to explore. Kshitij and Spring fests are the major fests of our college, and they stand beyond our imaginations. The college provides several scholarships and prize amounts too for performances in academics and sports. Being the largest IIT in India, KGP provides vast space for us to explore bicycles, and it's the best place to provide a peer environment to learn as well as enjoy.

It had the best placement statistics across all of the IITs in 2021.
Placements: The architecture course is for those students who want to go for core placements. Roles like product developer in which we have some subjects related to this field and product management are offered here. We can also sit for non-core placements in fields like data science, AI, SDE, etc.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure has been revised recently. IIT Kharagpur's architectural course is one of the best architectural courses offered all over the country. Wi-Fi facility is available all over campus. Our department has various labs and studios. Many eateries are located near our department. We are taught how to use the software before students are taught in other colleges. We also participate and win in various architecture competitions.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and very helpful. They look over our designs individually and give us very constructive edits. The course curriculum definitely makes students industry-ready, and students are in a position to get hired as interns in their second year. The pass percentage for all the subjects is high. The architecture course is a bit loaded but manageable.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in this field. Our college allows us to explore ourselves and provides us a platform where we can explore any field and have time to choose our career paths. I wish our college should reduce the number of subjects per semester as architecture is one of the most loaded courses on campus. Our college conducts many social, cultural, technical, and sports events on campus regularly.

Compulsory internship and fests are enjoyable.
Placements: This year approximately 71% got placed in both core and non core placements. Out of a batch of approximately 35 people, approximately 4-5 students took core jobs. Jobs varied from architects to financial advisors. No foreign jobs though. Compulsory internship in 8th semester.
Infrastructure: Food facilities are okay. Rest is all good. The Wi-Fi connection in some halls of Residence isn't that nice. Labs and classrooms are well maintained. Very huge library with good content. Food quality in some halls might degrade as days pass. The hospital admits one for trivial cases too.
Faculty: They're knowledgeable but some non-department teachers can't explain that well. Department professors teach really well. Department Course is very nice. The projects really help students to understand the subject well and apply it later in the curriculum.
Other: Rules might be strict for some. But really nice college and campus life. Fests are enjoyable. Architecture dept has good bonding with seniors too.

Students will have an excellent campus life here.
Placements: In the previous year, our department had 2nd highest placements amongst all the departments in our institution, i.e., about 91% placements. This year the placement rate decreased to 71%. Students got placed in core companies like Earth. They also got placed in companies like Auctus Advisors, Uniworks, Flipkart, etc.
Infrastructure: A well-maintained gymkhana is available in our institute, which provides various sports and games facilities. There are many hostels, and every hostel has its own mess. Three hostels have their canteens which are open for both boys and girls, while the rest of the hostels do not permit the opposite gender students to enter. There are also restaurants on the campus. There is a hospital, which provides essential medical facilities, and there is a tech market to buy goods.
Faculty: Professors and the teaching faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant but can be taxing at times. It was split wisely into physics and chemistry semester, and the 1st year has a contrast in the learning of two semesters.

It is simply the best college. Do not worry about anything.
Placements: Placements in our college are very good. The architecture department also has more than 90% placements. So, no need to worry about placements. Mainly non-core companies visit the campus for placements, so you need to study accordingly if you want a good package.
Infrastructure: Buildings are old, but the facilities are intact as always. Mess food is good. Some canteens are good, and you can find food 24x7 on the campus. Classrooms are centrally air-conditioned. Hostels don't have A/C facilities, but I feel it is not required too. You can purchase a cooler or an extra table fan if required.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. The course curriculum is modified regularly if the higher authority feels the need for modification. You will have a compulsory internship where you get exposure to industries and their work. Seniors are always there to help you.
Other: Free Wi-Fi facility is available on the whole campus. The campus is the best, huge and environment-friendly.

Indian Institute of Technology, kharagpur: My beautiful second home.
Placements: Placement season went very well, but we won't have very big companies attending here for the placements due to the reason that the kharagpur is very far away from the airport. Due to the fall of startup boom, placements for my senior batch didn't go well. The highest package offered was of 27Lakh CTC and the lowest was of 4L. Majority of the companies opened vacancies of analysts, software developers to fill up. All kinds of MNCs and startups have visited for placements. 40-50% of students got an internship from college. The highest will skyrocket to 75k per month and some students go for free training during the internship. Training and placement cell invites the companies for placements and internships and facilitates the processes regarding.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. Though the campus is too big to commute on foot, ola pedal offers bicycle booking through its app. Library gets its books from references of professors, so it is up-to-date with the latest texts and reference books, magazines and periodicals. Nalanda classroom complex is a centrally air-conditioned building for classrooms for courses wit registered students exceeding 60. Quality of labs is very good compared to other colleges in India. Quality of food is very poor in mess and canteens. Hostels rooms are livable and have good maintenance. Sports and games are accessible easily at every hall level and institute level.
Faculty: As of architecture, Professors mostly have Masters and PhDs in planning. So the stress on basics is too poor making the students very weak in design, though their technical soundness is reflected in students excellence in technical aspects of the subject. The curriculum is being changed to accommodate the latest courses and remove redundant courses. Teaching quality is very good but the methods used for teaching are age-old and too boring, their interest in teaching is also very poor except few professors.

You have to give NATA for getting admission in B. Arch college or you can apply for VIT or KIIT for architect or simply go to any other country by giving IELTS. I will recommend you to go to Germany.

JEE Main paper 1 is GATE for JEE Advanced through which you can go to IITs, and mains score is only for entry in NITs, GFTIs, and other institutes. So, you have to crack JEE Advanced with a superb rank to get into IIT, Kharagpur.

You need to qualify JEE Advanced and after that, you need to appear for AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test, for IITs). If you qualify that, you can proceed for B.Arch in IITs.
