NATA 2026 exam centres will be prepared and released online by the authorities of the Council of Architecture (CoA). Candidates will be able to check the list of cities where the entrance examination will be held through the NATA exam centres 2026. While filling out the NATA 2026 application form, the candidates will have to fill out their choice of exam cities in order of preference. Allotment of NATA exam centres will be done based on the candidate's preferences and seat availability. How to select NATA 2026 exam cities?

Candidates can check the given steps to select their choice of NATA exam cities 2026. 

  • Go to nata.in
  • Click on the registration tab.
  • Candidates will have to register and proceed to fill out the NATA 2026 application form.
  • While filling out the application form, the candidates will have to select three exam cities in order of preference.
  • The form has to be submitted before the final date, which will be announced soon.

Q:   How many NATA exam cities can I choose during the application process?
A: 

While filling out the application form, the candidates will be able to choose three NATA exam cities. The selection of exam cities has to be done carefully and in the order of preference since it plays a huge factor in the allotment of exam centres. The authorities will allot centres as per the preferences of the candidate and seat availability. It is to be noted that the international exam cities cannot be selected as a second or third choice for NATA. 

Q:   When will NATA 2026 application form be available?
A: 

NATA 2025 registration will start in February 2026. Candidates can fill out the NATA application form 2026 online at nata.in. The authorities do not accept offline applications for NATA 2026. All of the details submitted in the application form have to be valid and as per the documents possessed by the candidates. The required fee has to be paid online.

Q:   Where can I check the NATA exam centres?
A: 

CoA will prepare and release the list of NATA exam cities online at nata.in. From the list of exam cities released by the authorities, the candidates will be able to make their choice. The preferred three exam cities for NATA has to be selected in the order of preference while filling out the application form. The allotment of NATA exam centres will be done based on the candidate's preferences and availabilty of centres. The candidates will be able to check the details of their allotted exam centres through the NATA admit card.

Q:   Is NATA held in international centres? Is the application fee different for the international exam centres?
A: 

Yes, the authorities will conduct NATA in international centres. The entrance exam is expected to be held in Dubai, Doha, Muscat, Riyadh and Khaitan. In the previous year, NATA was conducted in 8 international centres. The application fee for international exam centres is higher. For one attempt, the NATA application fee is INR 10,000, while for two attempts, the fee is INR 20,000. If the candidates want to attempt all three sessions, then the application fee is INR 27,000. It must be noted that the international cities has to be first choice and cannot be selected as second or third choice of exam city.

Q:   How will I know my allotted NATA exam centre?
A: 

The authorities will release the details about the allotted NATA exam centre through the admit card. Candidates will be able to check the details regarding their allotted exam centre address, date, timings, guidelines and more from the admit card of NATA. Before reporting to the exam centre, the candidates are advised to carefully check the details present in the NATA admit card. In case of any mistakes in the admit card, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities.

NATA 2026 Admit Card

CoA will release the NATA 2026 admit card online. Registered candidates will be able to download the NATA admit card 2026 by logging in using their required credentials. The details present in the admit card of NATA 2026 will include the allotted exam date, timings, centre address, guidelines and more. Candidates will be required to present the NATA admit card and identity proof at the exam centre. Without the admit card and identity proof, the candidates will not be allowed to attempt NATA 2026.

The authorities release the exam day guidelines through the NATA admit card. The candidates are advised to check the NATA exam day guidelines to understand the guidelines set up by the authorities for a smooth process at the centre. As per the NATA exam day guidelines, the candidates are advised to reach the venue at least an hour before the examination starts. The candidates will have to present their admit cards along with identity proof. No electronic devices will be allowed inside the venue. All COVID-19 protocols are also to be followed by the candidates. 

Q:   What identity proofs are to be produced at the exam centre along with the NATA admit card?
A: 

While reporting at the NATA exam centres, the candidate are expected to bring certain documents. Along with the NATA admit card, the candidates will have to present their government photo identity proof. If the candidates fail to bring the documents, then they will not be allowed to enter the examination centre. Some of the identity proofs that are approved by the authorities are:

Q:   Will the NATA exam centres allow the candidates to deposit their personal belongings?
A: 

Candidates are advised to let their parents/guardians safekeep their personal belongings during NATA. However, if the candidate is unaccompanied, then they can request the NATA authorities to deposit their personal belongings during the entrance examination. However, the authorities bear no responsibilities for the loss of belongings. Therefore, the candidates are advised to not carry expensive and important belongings to the examination centre. 

Q:   Can I change my exam centre after downloading the NATA admit card?
A: 

No, after the release of the NATA admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to change the exam centre. The exam centres will be allotted as per the preferences submitted in the admit card by the candidates. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be careful while selecting their choice of exam centres in the NATA application form. After the preferences are submitted, the authorities will not entertain any requests for a change of centres. 

Q:   I have not been allotted into my first preferred NATA exam city. What should I do?
A: 

It is to be noted that there are chances of cases arising where the candidates will not be allotted centres within their first preferred NATA exam city. The allotment of centres will depend on many factors including preferences, centre availability, total number of candidates for the particular test centre, etc. Hence, the authorities can add or remove centres as per the requirements. If the first preferred city is not available due to some particular reason, then the candidates will be allotted centres as per their second and third preference.
