What exactly is the Twinning Programme?

The UGC specifies that only preeminent institutes with a good ranking will be granted permission for foreign collaborations. The Education Ministry performs continuous checks and balances to ensure that only top-grade institutes join for collaboration to create a perfect integration of international educational curriculum for students.

The guidelines further state that students who sign up for international collaboration programmes should be allowed to study abroad for at least one year for undergraduate degrees and one semester for postgraduate degrees so that they can benefit from the global exposure.
