I am Arpan Kumar Awasthi, a B.Tech – IV Year student at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University’s School of Engineering and Computing. I'm recently placed at “Tata Consultancy Services” with the package of 7 LPA.

Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose your current college/course (undergrad/post-grad)?

My journey as a B.Tech CSE student at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University has been an incredible experience filled with growth, learning, and numerous opportunities. When it came to choosing my course of study, I carefully evaluated various options and ultimately decided that B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering was the perfect fit for me. There were several factors that influenced my decision. Firstly, I have always been fascinated by the world of technology and its potential to shape our future. Computers have always been an integral part of my life, and I found great joy in exploring their capabilities. Pursuing a B.Tech in CSE seemed like a natural progression to deepen my understanding and enhance my skills in this field.

Q2. How you cracked admission in your current college? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for this college?

Q:   Is Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions good for MBA?
Q:   Is Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions a good college?
Q:   How is Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions for B.Tech course?

An important milestone in my academic career was getting accepted into the B.Tech CSE programme at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University. I want to talk about my experience getting accepted to this prestigious University. Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University's admissions procedure is fairly simple and does not include any particular entrance exams. The university takes into account the requirements for admission established by the governing bodies, which primarily include the minimum academic requirements and scores on the qualifying examination. To qualify for admission, I had to meet the minimum requirements, including completing my higher secondary education with the necessary subjects and achieving the minimum marks specified by the university. I fulfilled these criteria and was eligible to apply for admission to the B.Tech CSE program.

The application process involved submitting the required documents, including my educational transcripts, identity proof, and other necessary forms. I carefully filled out the application form, ensuring that all the information provided was accurate and complete. It's important to note that Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University also considers a quota for certain categories, which may have additional criteria for admission. While preparing for admission, I did not specifically undergo any coaching classes or take any entrance tests. Instead, I focused on my academic studies, ensuring that I had a strong foundation in the subjects related to the B.Tech CSE program. I also engaged in self-study, referring to textbooks, online resources, and relevant study materials to enhance my understanding and knowledge in the field.

Q3. How you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in future?

At Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, my college experience goes beyond academics and encompasses a vibrant mix of friendship, skill-building, and exciting activities. Let me take you through how I spend my time at college and the fun elements that enrich my journey. First and foremost, college is a place where friendships are forged and memories are created. I have been fortunate to make amazing friends who share similar interests and passions. We study together, collaborate on projects, and support each other through the ups and downs of college life. These friendships not only make the college experience enjoyable but also contribute to personal growth and a sense of belonging.

In addition to fostering friendships, college provides ample opportunities to develop and hone various skills. Apart from attending classes, I actively participate in workshops, seminars, and guest lectures organized by the college. These events expose me to new ideas, industry trends, and practical knowledge beyond the curriculum. They also help me develop essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Furthermore, I engage in extracurricular activities that bring out my creative and competitive spirit. I am a member of the college's sports club, where I participate in intercollegiate sports competitions. Playing sports not only keeps me physically active but also fosters teamwork, discipline, and resilience. It's a great way to unwind and have fun with friends while staying fit.

Additionally, the college organizes cultural events and festivals that showcase talent in various art forms. I actively participate in these events, whether it's dancing, singing, or performing in skits. These activities allow me to express my creativity, boost my confidence, and appreciate the diverse talents of my peers. Apart from the academic and extracurricular aspects, college life has taught me valuable life skills. I have learned to manage my time effectively, strike a balance between study and leisure, and adapt to new challenges. The experience of living independently and being responsible for my choices has contributed to my personal growth and maturity.

Looking ahead, I see a bright future filled with possibilities. The friendships and networks formed during college will continue to be valuable throughout my professional career. The skills I have acquired, both technical and interpersonal, will serve as a solid foundation for success. I am excited to explore new opportunities, embrace challenges, and continue learning and growing in the dynamic field of computer science and engineering.
