Tuyirajize Recalls Journey from Rwanda to Shoolini

Shoolini University brings back happy memories of Tuyirajize Léamdre’s hometown of Kigali, one of the cleanest cities in Rwanda, Africa. He is now pursuing BTech Biotechnology at Shoolini, renowned for its picturesque campus and sustainable environment. Tuyirajize says he is fortunate to spend his student life in such a remarkable learning environment.

Tuyirajize loves the diverse student culture and hostel at the university. He believes the university has offered him an excellent opportunity to learn and grow. He is confident the knowledge and skills he gains will help him achieve his life goals.

While he appeared for an international admissions exam to study in India, Tuyirajize first came across this high-ranking sustainable university. On exploring the university website, he was thrilled that Shoolini University ranked No.1 Private University in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.

He could not believe his luck when the multidisciplinary university accepted his application for admission to the course of his choice. He feels confident that the skill-based learning and professionally driven curriculum will boost his career prospects.

He also has a high opinion of the diverse student community here. Describing them as friendly and loving, he said, “The students here are incredibly open. They embrace our diversity, ensuring no one feels left out.”

One of the qualities he admires the most is leadership, which he has seen both on campus and in the university management. He believes this essential trait will help students find their personal and professional niche in life.

Tuyirajize has a special fondness for the top floor of Yogananda Library. He spends hours at this 24X7 library, with EBSCO access to more than a million publications… and his favourite book? 'Man Enough' by Simon Baevy. Another of his favourite spots at Shoolini is the gym, which he frequently visits to keep fit and healthy.

Though away from home, Tuyirajize does not miss his family and friends in Rwanda. He is thankful for the comfort and hospitality that Shoolini University has provided, making him feel at home. Born with a wanderlust, he has travelled and explored Delhi, Chandigarh, and Solan during his short time in India. He is looking forward to discovering more about the country in the future. He is excited to learn more about the culture and traditions of India and to make more memories here.

Tuyirajize has observed some striking similarities between the cultures of Africa and India. He has noticed that the clothing and dances of the two regions share a strong resemblance. The two areas have been influenced by each other in some way, which is an interesting phenomenon that deserves further exploration. “I am very interested to know more about the similarities between the two cultures and will pursue this,” he added.
