A:
The GATE cutoff is the minimum mark that an aspirant needs to score to be eligible for admission to M.Tech, M.Sc. And Ph.D. courses offered at the participating institutes. There are several factors based on which the cutoff is decided. Those who will obtain the GATE cutoff will be eligible to participate in the CCMT counselling for admission to IITs, NITs, CFTIs, and COAPS for admission to IITs. Therefore, factors that determine the GATE cutoff are: The difficulty level of the GATE question paper. The number of candidates taking the paper. The total number of available seats.
