BAMS Fees FAQs
Q. Are there any additional charges added to the BAMS program other than the tuition fee?
A. Yes, apart from tuition fees students who are pursuing BAMS may need to pay for hostel, exam fees, library fees, lab usage, and other administrative charges.
These additional costs differ depending on the college specially between govt. and private institutions. Some colleges also charge a refundable security deposit at the time of the admission.
Q. Is distance BAMS cheaper than regular BAMS?
A. No, distance BMS is not a valid option. BMS course does not provide this course in distance mode because BMS requires in-person personal training and clinical experience. However, Regular BMS has full structured course and concepts, so it has higher cost.
Q. Are BAMS fees lower in state government colleges compared to central institutes?
A. Yes, BAMS fees are generally lower in state government colleges when compared to central institutes or private colleges. The fee structure is often subsidized by the respective state governments.
However, central institutes may offer better infrastructure, faculty, or exposure, which is why their fee may be slightly higher. That said, both options are far more affordable than private colleges offering BAMS.
Q. Can BAMS fees be paid in installments or per-semester basis?
A. BAMS fees are typically paid on a per-semester basis specially in govt. and most of the private colleges. This helps students to manage the financial load more easily compared to paying the entire annual fee at once.
Also monthly installment plans are usually not available. Students should confirm the payment schedule directly with the institution during admission to avoid any confusion.
Q. What are the factors affecting BAMS course fees?
A. The fees can be different according to the colleges. There are many factors because of which fees can be different. These are as follows:
- Type of College
- Location
- Facilities and Infra
- Affiliation and Recognition of the college
- Hostel and Mess Charge
