Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is a state-level Board of Education that conducts Class 10 and Class 12 examinations annually. BSEB Class 12 board examinations are conducted across three main streams, namely Science, Humanities/Arts, and Commerce. BSEB 12th students opting for the Humanities stream need to select six subjects, including two languages and other subjects specified under the list of the Humanities subjects that study human society and culture.
In BSEB Class 12 board examination, out of the total marks 100, 80 marks are allocated to the written exams while the remaining marks are allocated to the project work. BSEB 12th Arts Exam Pattern and Marks Distribution
To make the preparation process for board exams easier, students should know the complete BSEB 12th exam pattern. The exam duration for BSEB Class 12 Humanities is three hours and fifteen minutes. Marks distribution among various topics subject-wise is given below:
The students must note that BSEB prescribes the Bihar Board class 12 exam pattern in the form of sample paper. The board releases the BSEB Inter sample papers for all subjects on its website. Students can download the subject-wise Bihar Board 12th sample paper from the official website of the board. The BSEB 12th exams are conducted for different streams like Science, Commerce, and Arts. Each subject has both theory and practical parts (for applicable subjects). The theory paper is for 70 marks, depending on the subject, and the practical exam is usually for 30 marks. The total duration of each theory exam is 3 hours. - Four Short Answer type questions of three marks each

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is yet to release the Bihar Board class 12 exam pattern 2026. It is expected to be announced soon. The students must note that the board prescribes the exam pattern in the form of a sample question paper. Also, the board notifies the major changes (if any) in the exam pattern while releasing the time table. As soon as the board releases the BSEB Inter exam pattern for the academic session 2025-26, we will update the same on this page. Students must note that the chances of major changes in the exam pattern are very low.
