BSEB 12th Syllabus 2025-26: The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) released the BSEB Inter syllabus 2025-26 for the students. The students can access the updated Bihar Board 12th syllabus 2026 in Hindi and English online at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. The Bihar Board 12th Syllabus 2025-26 is released for the Science, Commerce and Arts streams, respectively. The BSEB follow the NCERT syllabus for the BSEB 12th exams for Science, Arts and Commerce stream. Students must go through the entire Bihar Board Inter Syllabus 2026 and the BSEB Class 12 exam pattern 2026 and prepare for the exams accordingly.

The students who complete the Bihar Board 12th syllabus before the final paper can easily secure marks above 80%. Many students are scoring more than 80 per cent marks in the state in recent years. 

Q:   When were the Bihar Board 12th exams 2026 conducted?
A: 

BSEB announced the Bihar Board 12th time table 2026 on November 29, 2025. BSEB Class 12 exams 2026 were conducted from February 2 to 13, 2026. The board conducts the BSEB Inter exam 2026 in offline mode in two shifts. Practical exams was conducted in January 2026.

Q:   I am ready to spend money. Can I pass Bihar Board exams with good marks?

There is no way to increase your marks in Bihar Board class 10 and 12 exams except for your performence in the exam.The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) always warn students and parents about fraud people trying to con them. These fraud people contact the students and parents and pretend to be from board and promise that can raise students' marks for certain amount of money.

No, as per the exam pattern suggested by the board, there is there is no negative marking scheme for objective-type questions asked in the BSEB 12th board exams. Each objective type question is of one mark. For exh correct answer, the students are awarded marks 1 marks. However, for any incorrect answers, no mark is deducted.

Q:   What are the total marks of BSEB 12th exams?
A: 

The total marks in the BSEB Class 12 exam are 500. Bihar Board 12th exams are held for a total of five subjects. Hence, the result is prepared for the 500 marks only. Each paper of the exam consists of 100 marks. On the other hand, in some papers, theory exams are held for a total of 70 marks while practical exams are held for a total of 30 marks. Q:   How can I prepare for the BSEB 12th exams while managing my time?
A: 

Students should first prepare a daily study timetable including all the subjects. They should give more time to difficult papers. They should break the study schedule into sessions. Candidates should also practice sample papers and the previous years QPs. 

Q:   Will BSEB conduct Bihar Board 12th exams twice a year?
A: 

As of yet, the board has not announced that the class 12 board exams will be held twice in a year. However, as per the ministry of education, board exams across the students should be held twice to allow the students to retain the best score. Many board have started following it and conducting exams twice a year. The Bihar School Examination Board is also expected to confirm that the BSEB Board exams for class 12 will also be held Twice a year.

Q:   Where can I check BSEB 12th exam pattern?
A: 

The students must note that BSEB prescribes the Bihar Board class 12 exam pattern in the form of sample paper. The board releases the BSEB Inter sample papers for all subjects on its website. Students can download the subject-wise Bihar Board 12th sample paper from the official website of the board. Q:   What is the passing criteria for the BSEB 12th exam?

To pass the Bihar Board Inter exams, students must score a minimum of 30% marks in each subject in the theory paper. On the other hand, the they are required to score at least 40% marks in practicals. Those who fails in one or two subjects will be marked fail. However, the board conduct compartmental exams for such students. Students who are short in any subject by just one or two marks are given grace marks to clear the exam.

The students need to start by understanding the basic concepts and formulas from each chapter of BSEB class 12 Physics paper. They need to identify the high-weightage topics and focus more on them. Every year, more than 13 Lacs students appear for the BSEB 12th exams. As per the data shared by the Bihar Board, in 2024, a total of 13,04,352 students registered for the BSEB class 12 exam. Last year, a total of 13.18 Lacs students appeared for the BSEB class 12 exam. Out of which, 10.91 Lacs candidates cleared the exam. While Lacs of students were unable to pass the exam. The overall pass percentage stood at 83.7 %. This year too, more than 13 Lacs students are expected to participate in the class 12 board exams. After the declaration of result, BSEB will share the stats related to the BSEB 12th the exam and result.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in the BSEB 12th board theory exams?
A: 

In BSEB 12th exams, all th papers includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs), short answer type, & long answer type questions. Around 50% of the paper may consists of objective type question (mostly MCQ). The rest of the paper contains short answer type, and long answer type questions.

Q:   Will the objective-type questions be asked in the Bihar Board 12th exam?
A: 

Yes, BSEB includes multiple choice objective questions in the Bihar Board 12th exam for most subjects. These are multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and usually carry one mark each. Students must note that objective-type questions are asked for 50 per cent marks in the exam. Students are required to answer them on an OMR sheet. These questions help in testing quick and basic understanding of topics.
