IIM-K announces executive PG program

Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode offers its executive postgraduate program. The program has been designed for working professionals, and will be offered in 21 cities across India. To offer the program, IIM-K has entered into an exclusive partnership with TCLL's executive education brand, TSW.

Candidates willing to apply need to appear for an entrance test, EMAT. Those who obtain a valid score in the entrance exam will be further called in for a Personal Interview.

Tentative schedule of admission process -EPGP-09 is as follows:

Eligibility:

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any disciple
• Candidate belonging to general category should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
• Candidate belonging to SC/ST category and PWD should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks or equivalent CGPA
• The candidate must hold 3 years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after graduation (as on commencement date of program)
• Candidate who has appeared for CAT and secured 75% or has appeared for GMAT and has secured 650 score will be directly called for the interview (These sores should not be older than 2 years from EMAT exam date

The 2 year program has 700 credits which is inclusive of specialization electives, foundation courses on management, capstone courses, simulations and functional workshop. By securing a seat in this program, working professionals will have direct access to the experienced faculty at IIM-K. Also, they will have the chance of increasing their knowledge by following a well-developed curriculum through exceptional teaching methodology like Live Virtual Interactive Learning.

Graduates who have previously appeared for CAT or GMAT can also apply to the program. The program has been designed for executives having more than 3 years of work experience, and has been created with an aim to offer an impactful learning experience to the candidate. The program will also aim at providing the candidate a perfect balance of theory and practical knowledge – this will be of extensive help in their respective organizations. Since this program has been designed for working professionals, focus shall also be laid on gaining competency and improving leadership skills.

Candidates can expect exposure to key concepts and strategies of business. Also, it has been kept in mind that the classes are offered through 'Interactive Learning' platform – this allows the candidate to pursue his/her course without having to quit their jobs. The program also includes a three week module on IIM-K's campus, which will offer an on-campus learning experience to the candidate.
