Step 1: Amrita School of Engineering Bengaluru MTech Application Process 2026

Amrita School of Engineering Application Process involves several steps. The application process is mainly conducted in online mode and is inclusive of multiple steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore

Step 2: Tap the ‘Admissions’ tab and navigate to the course you wish to apply for.

Step 3: On the top of the page click on the ‘Apply for the Programme’ link.

Step 4: Fill up the application form with all the required details.

Step 5: Choose the payment mode and pay the application fee.

NOTE: Candidates shall not send the online application hard copy to the university. However, it is advisable to retain the acknowledgement page for future reference.

Step 2: Selection Process

Admission to the MTech programme is done through an interview conducted by the University. However, the GATE-qualified candidates are exempted from the interview and are offered direct admission to academic records and performance in interviews. Amrita School of Engineering will schedule a personal interview round, which candidates must attend to be shortlisted for final admission to the MTech course.

For the integrated MTech PhD programme, candidates must have a valid GATE score and participate in the in-house entrance test Amrita Graduate Entrance Test (AGET) to be applicable for final admission to the integrated MTech PhD course.

NOTE: Applicants who have qualified for the GATE can select the exam paper that corresponds to their qualifying degree, provided that the Amrita Graduate Entrance Test (AGET) is offered in that discipline.

Step 3: Final Admission

After the selection rounds are over, course-wise selection lists can be released by the university on its official website (with the names of the shortlisted students). Candidates who make it to the selection list can report to the university to confirm their seat. Some amount of fee may have to be paid for admission confirmation.

Amrita School of Engineering Bengaluru offers scholarships to eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students as financial assistance. These scholarships are provided under the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. As per the norms of AICTE, all the GATE-qualified students must receive a Post Graduate Scholarship of INR 12,400 per month. NON-GATE and GATE students can apply for the scholarships available at the university level mentioned below:
