B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2025
3.6

Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore review.
Placements: I am part of the electronics and communication batch at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore. Out of 260+ students, around 180 are placed in top companies, while others get mass recruitment opportunities and wait for offers. The highest package is 24 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and average is 6 LPA to 7 LPA. Top recruiters included Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Intel, Cisco, TCS, and Infosys. About 60% secured internships at reputed firms like Qualcomm, Bosch, and TI. Roles offered range from VLSI and embedded engineer to software developer and network engineer, providing strong opportunities in both core and IT domains.
Infrastructure: Electronics and communication department at Amrita Coimbatore has well-equipped labs, smart classrooms with Wi-Fi, and access to a vast library and digital resources. Hostel facilities are good, with clean rooms, study space, and 24X7 Wi-Fi. The mess provides nutritious food with both South and North Indian options, though taste can vary. Medical facilities include a dedicated health center with ambulance support. Campus has excellent sports infrastructure, including indoor and outdoor courts, gym facilities, and grounds for cricket and football, ensuring overall development. The environment is safe, disciplined, and supportive for both academics and personal growth.
Faculty: Faculty members in the electronics and communication department at Amrita Coimbatore are highly qualified, approachable, and supportive, with many holding PhDs and industry exposure. The curriculum is regularly updated with electives, labs, and projects that align well with current industry needs, especially in VLSI, embedded systems, and communication. Teaching quality is good, with a focus on both fundamentals and practical learning. Semester exams are moderately difficult, designed to test understanding rather than written learning. The pass percentage is usually high (above 90%), as students receive sufficient guidance, assignments, and remedial sessions to ensure strong academic performance.
Other: I graduated in 2025 from the department of ECE. Events happen in my college but are mostly traditional.

It is a good college for studying and has an environment-friendly.
Placements: According to the placement record, 92% of students get placed. The highest package offered is around 56 LPA, and the lowest is around 2 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc., visit for recruitment. I am not sure about the internships, but according to seniors' experiences, they get internships too.
Infrastructure: All facilities such as Wi-Fi, labs, and library are good and well-maintained. The hostel rooms are good, but the mess food is not very good, it is average and sometimes not good at all. The canteen is well-managed and good. There are a few big grounds and many small grounds for playing. Overall, facilities are good except for the food in the mess.
Faculty: Teachers are good, and a few are not, but most are knowledgeable. The course and curriculum are good. There are many things built into the course that make learning efficient. First-year semester exams are somewhat easy, while going it may get difficult. To pass exams, we need at least to get 40 marks out of 100.

Review of Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.
Placements: Placements are not that good for CHE and in our college. They are pretty average. The college has a lot of connections, so internships are pretty good. Top recruiters are Amazon, Hyundai, Bosch, etc. 50-70% of placements are done. The average salary is low.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are bad. There are 4 people in 1 room. It is also not a sufficient amount of space to keep all your things. They provide you with 2 tables for 4 of you. The mess food is really bad and sometimes, it is impossible to eat. Wi-Fi is provided 24/7 throughout the campus.
Faculty: The curriculum is good and prepares students for industries. Most of the teachers are friendly and good at teaching. But some teachers are not that good at teaching. If we complain, the entire class has to suffer.
Other: There are not many events on the campus that are enjoyable. Just a planned college life.

I studied here between 2021-2025 and I had an amazing life here.
Placements: About more than 90% of students got placed, with an average salary in computer science department of 7 LPA-9 LPA, whereas another department has an average of 4 LPA-5 LPA. They also provide us with both internships and internships with FTE.
Infrastructure: I'm a CSE student. Mostly we carry our laptops to classrooms for daily activities. Only on exam days, they provide us with their systems to avoid malpractice. When coming to hostel infrastructure, old hostels aren't that great but tight now new ones are building and they look amazing.
Faculty: Teachers are always friendly and helpful except for one or two, which usually happens everywhere. They train us not only for academics but also for the industry where we will go work. Semester exams are difficult for real. We should understand the concepts well to crack them.

It's a good college with advanced courses.
Placements: Placement is good. The students sit on campus for companies, like Amazon, TCS, Zoho, etc., which are big achievement companies visit our college. Every year, almost 95% of students get placed in companies.
Infrastructure: Hostel provides a home away from home to the students, keeping in view the same philosophy. The college provides a secure, comfortable, and healthy environment for all the students. The food in the mess is so good every week. They prepare hygienic food. The rooms are so good for studying and staying.
Faculty: Saying for the faculty, they are basically good and well-educated. The exams can be slightly complicated for the student to write. The course that I have taken is so good, from which, I learned many skills and I developed them by myself. The pass percentage of the college is about 45%, depending on the subject. If any student gets an arrear, he/she has to pay Rs. 700 for all UG programs.
Other: Education, skill projects, and extracurricular activities, which are most verified by the college.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the administrative issues.
Placements: The official highest package was 50 LPA by Microsoft, but since they didn't come specifically to hire students, it is not considered. The highest package is 45 LPA, and almost 70% of students who applied for placement got placed. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. There were no top recruiters as each company took only one person in our course. Top roles offered were Analyst and SDE.
Infrastructure: Decent Wi-Fi, labs are fully functioning, and decent classrooms. Though the systems taught are somewhat outdated. The mess was not up to the mark, and only veg food is allowed in campus. Hostel bathing water was hard water, and the lush was recycled water. There is always a doctor available, and sports and games are good.
Faculty: Professors are well trained and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Though the placement cell has asked to change the syllabus, it does not make the students industry-ready. Semester exams depend on the faculty taking the subject, but it is easy to pass if you have good internals.
Other: Events like Gokulashtami and Anokha are the main fests. And it is like a friendly competition between the departments.
