Q:   How is the mess food at School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore?
A:

The mess food is not very much tasty. The students from Tamilnadu can adjust somewhat as the food items are not spicy and the items served are mostly Tamilnadu recipes. So Tamil Nadu students can eat sometimes. Everyday sambar is the routine dish which is served in the mess. The students from the other states should definitely adjust as the food and dishes mostly changes and less spicy food. The taste is bad. The food items in canteen are also taste same as the mess food.So food in the canteens are also adjustable. The menu of the food is very bad.Sometimes tiffins are served during dinner such as Idli, Dosa, Lemon price. Every Sunday biryani will be served. There is no Non-vegetarian food in the campus. Vegetarian food is served in the hostel mess and non veg is not allowed into the campus. During any occassions food taste average on that day. Overall review for the food is below average and students should adjust.

Where learning meets passion.

Faculty: Most of the teachers have completed their Ph.D. programme and are well knowledgeable. They actually maintain a well planned course curriculum and it makes each student get better and trains them well for their placements. The semester exams are quite challenging but if you prepare well you can ace it.

Review of M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering.

Faculty: Teachers are purely professional in the field of biomedical and engineering, and completed a Ph.D. or other equivalent degree. All the teachers had significant experience in relevant biomedical industries, and the teachers composed the complex concepts into much simpler means.

Real truth of Amrita Coimbatore college, you can join this college or not? Is food nice or not?

Faculty: The quality of faculty in the 1st year was average to good because they are assistant professors working in college, and on the side, they are working on their own projects and doing Ph.D.s. The syllabus was good, but we don't have high importance on the final semester. It's all in our group projects, interaction with all, assignments, and daily exams. So, that makes us industry-ready. No semester importance, just projects and their reviews, making us hands-on with hardware and software to apply...

Completely satisfied with faculty and campus life, good infrastruce.

Faculty: Faculty here are highly qualified and help you in every aspect. Our course curriculum is relevant to IIT's curriculum. Difficulty is easy to average, but attention in classes is mandatory. Mid-semester exams are very important since they carry high weightage of marks, along with internals.

It is a good college for studying and has an environment-friendly.

Faculty: Teachers are good, and a few are not, but most are knowledgeable. The course and curriculum are good. There are many things built into the course that make learning efficient. First-year semester exams are somewhat easy, while going it may get difficult. To pass exams, we need at least to get 40 marks out of 100.

I studied here between 2021-2025 and I had an amazing life here.

Faculty: Teachers are always friendly and helpful except for one or two, which usually happens everywhere. They train us not only for academics but also for the industry where we will go work. Semester exams are difficult for real. We should understand the concepts well to crack them.

It's a good college with advanced courses.

Faculty: Saying for the faculty, they are basically good and well-educated. The exams can be slightly complicated for the student to write. The course that I have taken is so good, from which, I learned many skills and I developed them by myself. The pass percentage of the college is about 45%, depending on the subject. If any student gets an arrear, he/she has to pay Rs. 700 for all UG programs.

A boring campus life at Amrita.

Faculty: The teachers on our campus are qualified. They help us in many ways, including extracurricular activities. The curriculum is relevant, but staying with that, the timetable is somewhat hard for us to maintain, but it's okay.

The college is very strict but it is very good to join here for a better future.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is very good. Some teachers go in another way so students cannot understand that. The course curriculum is good and it has a better future in semiconductors. In Amrita, the course is tough which we are studying.

This college is pretty good due to the faculty members.

Faculty: All teachers here are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is parallel to the teaching track where they can help well in doubt solving. The teacher-to-student ratio is 1:65. In the second year, we will be asked to decide whether to go with higher studies in foreign or a job, this can ensure proper arrangement. Semester exams are quite hard to ensure proper way of grading.

Faculty members are very strict and we do not have free time to enjoy.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and very caring. We also have HODs of our branch. They used to guide us every minute without wasting our time and their time. We have the best lab teachers to teach.

Review of Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

Faculty: The curriculum is good and prepares students for industries. Most of the teachers are friendly and good at teaching. But some teachers are not that good at teaching. If we complain, the entire class has to suffer.

Amazing faculty members and infrastructure. Diverse and friendly student community.

Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. holders. They are friendly, patience, and understanding. The course curriculum is designed very similarly to the IITs giving equal importance to our culture by including subjects like Indian heritage and yoga. Semester exam papers are moderate to difficult. CIR courses are also given importance right from the 2nd year to make the students industry-ready.
